Meta City, A Futuristic City Full Of Advanced Technology

It is said that there is a Metaverse city called Meta City, where a teenage boy named Hakim lives. In the metaverse, he works as a student and also a DJ. He studies at Digiverse University, besides studying he also often works as a DJ at music events such as Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival.

One morning he went to college using an electric motorbike that could fly. "Gosh, today I woke up a bit late. Maybe because the conditions here are always cold, making me sleep deeper and longer. But I don't need to worry because this motorbike can go at a speed of 80-100 km/hour on the road and 60-70 km/hour when flying."

Hakim's electric motorbike also has another sophistication, namely that it can be turned on using fingerprints and smartphones, aka without having to use a key. Hakim's motorbike is not an amphibious motorbike like other people's, but Hakim is still proud to have a motorbike that has wings and can be used to fly.

On the way to campus, Hakim was amazed by his city. He looked at what was in front of him and occasionally looked right and left. He saw buildings with various sophisticated features, including buildings that could automatically reflect light towards plants, buildings that had a parking basement on the middle floor of the building that could open automatically to facilitate parking for employees using flying cars or motorbikes and there were also buildings that could change their height according to the number of employees that would increase every year.

In addition to buildings, Hakim was also amazed by other things around him, including bus stops that had solar panel roofs for electricity that would be distributed directly to the bus stop lights, street lights around them and electrical outlets at the bus stops and at the bus stops there were also water taps next to them that could be drunk directly. Not only that, there were even several bus stops that had videotrons or running screens on the roof or behind them that displayed advertisements. All the bus stop signs at the bus stops already used running text, no longer using iron boards.

The vehicles that passed with Hakim were all electric-powered which did not produce any noise or pollution at all and some also changed their vehicle mode to flying mode, they might be bored of driving on the streets and wanted to feel flying freely in the air. There was one public vehicle that amazed Hakim called Hyperloop. The vehicle connects cities and regions, its shape is like a combination of a train and a jet plane. Hyperloop is electric-powered just like a train in the real world, the only difference is that this vehicle does not touch the rails at all, aka it floats in the air. This happens because Hyperloop has hundreds of magnets with electric currents underneath. The magnets react with the rails underneath. The shape of the rails for Hyperloop is also slightly different from trains, the rails are only thin and light iron plates that stretch on the left and right without a crossbar in the middle. The location of the Hyperloop track is on the side of the road and has a height of about half that of an office building. Then another sophisticated thing is that all the roads in the city are designed to be environmentally friendly and absorb puddles.

Not long after, Hakim arrived at his campus. Hakim's campus also has facilities that are no less sophisticated than other buildings he encountered on the road. His campus has classrooms that can move down like an elevator, so there are no elevators and stairs on his campus. Other facilities include a soccer field in front of the campus that can be turned into a parking area and can be adjusted to suit your needs. Hakim's campus also has lights in every room that will turn on automatically when night falls or when it's dark because it's cloudy. The roof also has solar panels which can be used as a backup power supply if the power goes out.

Hakim arrived at his class, but he was still playing with his cellphone because his class hadn't started yet. He intended to buy a pair of shoes at the Metashop online store. "Hmm, the design of these shoes seems environmentally friendly and futuristic, I think I'll buy them now."

The features of the shoes that Hakim bought were quite sophisticated, such as super light, anti-burn and anti-wet. However, there are 2 of the most sophisticated features of the shoes, namely the size that can adjust to the wearer and underneath there are dozens of springs that function to help the wearer jump higher than ordinary shoe wearers. The shoes will later be packaged and delivered using drones for express delivery packages or robots similar to line followers for regular delivery packages.

Then Hakim entered his class, the tables in the judge's class were more sophisticated than the tables that existed in previous eras. The top of the table was made of glass, but it was not ordinary glass but a touch screen like a smartphone. The table can be used to access browsers and YouTube which will make it easier for students to find additional learning materials. In addition, they can use the table to work on assignments in Google Docs, spreadsheets and presentations, but if they want to work offline they can use Microsoft Office which is already in the table's operating system.

Before I knew it, it was almost evening, the class ended and Hakim had to go home. Hakim had time to say goodbye to his friend named Ziyeh.
"Hakim, how are you? Are you still using your old electric motorbike?"
"Very good Ziyeh, yes I am still comfortable using my old motorbike even though its technology is a little behind."
"It's okay, the important thing is that it can still run, I just bought a jetpack. So I use it to travel everywhere."
"Wow, cool, the latest jetpack must be electric, right?"
"That's right Kim, wow, it looks like it's too late, we should both go home soon."
"Wow, you're right, see you on Monday, friend."

When Hakim arrived home, he immediately sat on the sofa while sending assignments via his smartphone. He also sent it to the city data center, the data center can be used by residents of Meta City to store their data in the form of school or college assignments, work files and even confidential data. The data is protected by the most sophisticated cyber security system and can accommodate data up to hundreds of terabytes.

While sitting, Hakim fantasized about how his life would be in the future. Actually in the city of Meta there is a shop that rents a room that has a time machine, the machine can take people to the future and the past. However, the machine can only be used to go to the future and the past within a span of 5 years.

Hakim then realized that no matter what, the past cannot be changed, just like destiny, all we can do is learn from past mistakes to fix them in the future. The future is not something we have to know but we can prepare ourselves to live it when that time comes. Good or bad our future is a common thing in the process of life, but at least we have tried.
