Fast-foods in another light

Growing up with my parents, they've never seemed to have anything against fast foods. And on different occasions, they would come home with different ones in the evening. Some of the ones popular around my place includes risky burger, pizza, roasted corns, bean cakes, shawarma, roasted plantains the popular Jollof rice, fruit salads and lots more
But as time went on, I realized I was not getting comfortable with buying and eating most of these foods anymore.
Perhaps, the fact that the foods were prepared in the outdoor kitchens where they could be contaminated by dust and smoke from vehicles and industries around, put me off at first. Additionally, I could not help but squint at the fact that when people make their orders at the outdoor kitchens, they talk over the food in preparation; I didn't find that hygienic enough.
Perhaps this lady was being too judgemental
So I decided that I've had enough for that time. ‘What's the point when I could even get the ingredients and make them myself at home?’ was my thought. But I was proved wrong when I started rushing to lectures with an empty stomach, in the early hours of the day. Staying outside till evening time would also definitely leave one hungry. These foods came in handy and I was back to them. Risky burger, made with bread and fried eggs, was my favorite along with buns and bean cakes.
I realized how they could make the day convenient when you don't have the luxury of time and energy to make your own food.
Besides most times they do not cost fortunes as they were sold at affordable prices.
