Prologue

"Mama where are we going to?" "Are we leaving our house?"

....."Hurry, Tamara, HURRY!"

She was only three, three years and 7days to it precisely, Mama said she was born in a happy month, the month of December.

Too many festivities and jolly moments in December, so when they would play and she screams in excitement, mama would call her a Happy child who is full of life.

She never knew who her father was, Mama said he was in heaven, and many nights after reading her favourite story book ' Barney diaries' they both would say a short prayer for papa, with mama leading, praying that he is happy and singing with the angels in heaven and Tamara would conclude with a loud AMEN.

So that woeful Saturday morning when she awoke and saw that mama has packed up their bags, and the one bedroom flat they had lived in since she was born echoed through the walls when she said

' good morning mama' still battling sleep world and reality wondering in her tiny head what was going on.

"Good morning Tamara, fast, get into the bathroom, Mama has yelled softly....

It's been four months living as an adopted child to the Sampson's.

a little girl with ponytails in a scarlet frock sits on a car, the gentle creaking of chains in rhythm with her contemplative silence...

Hot tears like sun streamed down her eyes and burned her skin.
Never in the world could she think mama would abandon her, would sell her off....
She was little but understood life better than some irky grownups.
She wasn't daft to know what has happened.
As she sat, she said a prayer for papa, the way mama always did and also prayed for mama to come back for her.

The Sampson's were good, they play and roll over making her laugh so hard, on weekends they would take her to the park and get lollipops on their way back.

They had a little puppy , zed would sniff and sniff unto her skin, then she would touch it, and it will begin to make some Happy noise, all these and more, great memories, but she still misses mama...

I would not fail to extend my warmest greetings to the organizer @soulfuldreamer and the @dreamsteem community,

Many thanks.

Welcome to Dream Steem!

I raised a foster son myself - he wasn't abandoned by his mother, but he knows this vague feeling of not belonging anywhere very well...

Thank you for the welcome,

Wow, good to know that!
They feeling is such a deep feeling, many of us can relate to it in other instances and scenarios.

I feel for Tamara...

I can only wonder how it feels or how I would feel if I were in Tamara's shoes... That feeling of being abandoned or given away.

Despite all the love and care I would receive from my new family, my heart would still long for my mother and pray for her return.

Thank you for your story @sikan-eyen . Pleasure is mine!

Yes, it's so very sad, thank you guys such a rich review, much appreciated 👍
