Let me share my school life journey with you. I attended Plain Karbi Mission English School, a private school located in the Nagoan district of Assam. This school is owned and operated by a church. It was quite a distance away from my hometown, and prior to joining this school, I had been studying in a government school until Class 1.
Upon moving to Nagaon, I began residing in the school hostel, where I spent a remarkable 10 years of my life. I consider those years as the defining chapter of my school life, filled with cherished memories that I still hold dear. The hostel became my home away from home, and the bonds I formed there were incredibly strong.
The school provided an enriching environment, and I learned numerous valuable lessons during my stay. The camaraderie among hostel mates was heartwarming, and we treated each other like family. The teachers at Plain Karbi Mission English School were exceptionally supportive and imparted invaluable knowledge. Their affectionate guidance left a lasting impression on me, which is why I continue to visit my school even today.
Regarding academics, I wouldn't consider myself an outstanding student, but I fared decently. While I never secured the top position in class, I was never at the bottom either. However, my real forte lay in extracurricular activities. I actively participated in various sports, competitions, and cultural events. My school and teachers recognized me for my involvement and enthusiasm. One aspect for which I was particularly known was my talent for comedy and dramas. Alongside my friends, classmates, and hostel mates, we regularly performed skits and dramas that often brought laughter to our school assemblies and special occasions like Parents' Day and Teachers' Day.
I maintained a good reputation throughout my school days by understanding the boundaries of what to do and say. While I was talkative and outgoing, I knew how to express myself appropriately, which allowed me to befriend students across different grades, including juniors. Although my academic performance wasn't exceptional, my active engagement in extracurricular activities compensated for it.
After completing my 10th grade in 2018, I pursued my higher education at Darrang College in Tezpur, choosing the Arts stream. Following my 12th grade, I enrolled at Rabindranath Tagore University in Hojai. I recently appeared for my final exams and am currently awaiting the results. In the meantime, I am attending computer classes to enhance my skills while anticipating my graduation outcome.
Regarding my school and college experiences, I consider myself fortunate as I never faced any instances of bullying throughout my academic journey. Both in my school and college days, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by supportive peers and faculty. Moreover, I firmly believe in treating others with respect and kindness, and I never engaged in bullying behavior myself. Instead, I fostered positive relationships with everyone, including my juniors, which contributed to a friendly and harmonious atmosphere.
In conclusion, my school life at Plain Karbi Mission English School was truly the highlight of my life. I made lifelong friends and learned invaluable lessons that I still apply today. Despite being physically distant, my friends and I have managed to stay connected. I am grateful for the remarkable experiences and personal growth I gained during those years.
