Jupiter (word of the week contest)
Dear Francine,
Hope you and Erik are doing well. I think of you two often. You are just like a dear sister.
As you know we tried for so many years to conceive a child and only met with disappointment. The miscarriage was the worst. But this time we have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams. A beautiful, healthy baby boy. Right from conception there was something different this time.
On the planned evening I made some of William's favorite foods. He really likes samosa. They're small Indian pastries filled with vegetables. And I made the tamarind chutney a sweet and sour sauce to go with them. He can eat a half dozen of them at a time. And a type of potato salad that is really out of this world, Gauranga potatoes made with sour cream and rosemary spice. Desert was a favorite of his, sweet rice, served cold. It's like a rice pudding.
After dinner we bathed and prepared for union. We prayed together for about an hour and sang songs and prayers to glorify God, the Creator, The Protector, The Friend, the Source of All Life, the Most Beautiful Person. We undressed and prepared for the bed. William stood there before me in all his glory. He seemed to me to be glowing. The whole room was glowing. His face was full of love and desire for what we both wanted more than anything. A child.
During conception I felt as if I wasn't the body. The body was experiencing so many sensations, overwhelming, pleasurable sensations but I was simply observing. As if from a distance. I was detached. Like I was dreaming. Somehow I knew this was it. The child was coming this time.
I can't really share these intense intimate moments with just anyone. But I feel close enough to you to reveal these things and know you will hear with love and well-wishes in your heart.
When our son was born we took him to Frederick an astrologer friend of William's to get a reading and suggestions for a name. Frederick's eyes were wide when he began calculating from the time of birth.
He took some time and then spoke with a huge smile. "You are most fortunate. The planets were aligned in a very auspicious formation. This child will have all good qualities. He will be influenced by the principles of growth. His life will be filled with adventure, healing, prosperity, good fortune, and miracles. He will travel long distances and foreign travel. Will be successful in big business and wealth, higher education, and the law. He will be religious and pious. And on the lighter side he will have the urge for freedom and exploration, as well as gambling and merrymaking. Looks like you've got a winner here. You know the old saying, 'Anything worth having is worth waiting for.' "
William and I were flabbergasted. My mouth hung open and William's eyes were very wide in deed. Our prayers had been answered so wonderfully.
Frederick had a suggestion for the babies name. Jupiter. It was unusual enough for this unusual child. We liked it.
So that's the story. Pretty amazing! When are we going to see you and Erik . Come and meet Jupiter?
Stay safe. Stay well,
Love you,
Venus

Best wishes for your baby. May God bless your baby. 💞💞
May God bless you... :>)
An interesting, wonderful story but a life of adventure. That means excitement and that is always a potential injury, dismemberment, death series of situations. People like me that lived through a lot of excitement and came out largely whole would like a retirement period where the excitement and adventure ends. Lots of laughs
I'm with you. Excitement days are through for this life. Put me out to pasture. :>)
Best regards
