My uncle just shared a true life story to me and my cousins and I love to share the story to you all because ,the story is a hearttouching story about the on train ride that changed everything. I believe it will worth your time reading.
The story begins....
It was on a very bright morning in Lagos. The whole city was busy with people hurrying to their various destinations. Among them was My uncle, a young man that loved trains. The sound on the train and how they train connected cities always fascinated him. So however, that faithful day he was going on the train journey that would change his life more than he can imagine.
My uncle had a job interview in Ibadan and chose to make the journey on the train instead of the bus. He had heard good things about the new train service in Lagos. With his well ironed neat shirt and folder of documents, he headed to the train station.
The station was so busy that morning. Families, business people, and students fulled the station. My uncle felt excited, because he just sighted a spot where there is bench, he went over there and sat down.
An elderly man sat next to him. The man was so old he had a kind face with lots of wrinkles. He wore a traditional Yoruba cap and looked curious.
"Good morning, young man," the man greeted my uncle.
"Good morning, sir," my uncle replied.
The man introduced himself as Sir Victor Adebayo, a retired teacher in Lagos. He was traveling to Ibadan to visit his grandchildren. So ,my uncle and the man started talking, and my uncle learned that Baba Ade(as man uncle called the man) had spent his whole life teaching children in clossby villages.
"You remind me of myself when I was young, how I wish old age wasn't a Barrier, look at me now I look more useless I can't do important things without other people help," Baba Ade said. Full of sad face and worries. "What takes you to Ibadan?"
"I have a job interview, and I hope to get the job at a tech company." My uncle replied.
Baba Ade nodded. "You'll do well. Just be yourself, focus, don't fear and keep praying to God."
Their talk was interrupted by the sound of the train arriving. The modern train pulled into the station, and people started entering the train. My uncle and Baba Ade found seats next to each other. The train was clean and comfortable for people to feel free, unlike the crowded buses we are used to.
As the train moved, my uncle said that the sound on the train was soothing, and make him to feel calm. He and Baba Ade kept talking, sharing stories and laughing. My uncle said that he felt good hearing the old man’s wise words on the train.
A few hours later, the train stopped at a small town. Vendors by the roadside entered, selling snacks and drinks. My uncle bought some fried groundnuts and shared them with Baba Ade. They enjoyed the snack and each other’s company all through their journey together on the train.
As they got closer to Ibadan, Baba Ade gave my uncle some advice. "Life is a journey, like this on the train ride. Keep moving forward. And Believe in yourself."
My uncle thanked Baba Ade. When they arrived in Ibadan, they exchanged phone numbers and promised to stay in touch. My uncle got off the train feeling confidential.
As told by my uncle, the interview went well, and a few days later, he got the job! He was so happy and couldn’t wait to tell everyone about it. He also called Baba Ade to thank him too.
My uncle settled into his new job at the tech company. He often thought about that on the train ride. It wasn’t just a trip; it was a journey of confident and growth,. The kindness of the stranger he travels with as really help him.
Years later, my uncle took another train ride, this time with his family including me as his nephew. He shared the story of his trip to Ibadan with us . He told us about Baba Ade and the lessons he really learned.
However the train continued its journey, nobody can stop it except he reaches is destination. Train kept connecting cities and people, just like it had connected my uncle and Baba Ade, (baba ade later died and we went to his burial). This story makes me see that it’s not just about the destination we are going but the journey and the people we meet along our way.
My uncle's on the train ride wasn’t just a trip to Ibadan; it was a journey that changed his life.

Welcome to Dream Steem!
A remarkable journey. Your most important sentence for me was the very last one. The Chinese say: the journey is the destination. You go one step further and say: the people you meet along the way are the decisive factor. I like that ;-))
Thank you so much for welcoming me, amd going through my post. It was a great journey indeed.
