WITH ALL SENSES? And what about HUMANITY?
Why do I feel humanity is the sense that not only inspires us to live, but it is also a symbol of sensitivity and compassion? In my opinion, what we, the so-called humans, lack is the sense of humanity, and we live only for ourselves and never try to think for others.
I can even say that a real human being is one who works for the welfare of others by rising above his selfishness. Let's understand the pain of others with sympathy and have compassion towards them with generosity without any selfishness or trying for the welfare of others by sacrificing one's own happiness.
We say, "Vasudhev Kutumbakam," which means unity, and we see all humans on this earth as one family, treating every person of the world without any discrimination.
Although today's world is too selfish, but then there are examples where people have saved, helped, and uplifted others without caring about their own interests or even sacrificed their lives in the service of humanity.
I will remind you all with an example of Mother Teresa, who reached the level of sainthood because she had that sense of humanity in her personality. I guess that touch of humanity brought all her senses together, and she worked for the downtrodden all her life.
I feel that the touch of humanity is the original sense that includes all the senses and teaches us that we should adopt empathy, generosity, and sacrifice in our lives. The touch of humanity not only awakens all the other senses in us but also adds value to them.
I think if we understand the touch of humanity, then all our other senses will work better for us as the other senses that promote empathy, cooperation, and altruism in society, the functions necessary for our personal development and essential for the well-being of others.
See for yourself and tell whether the touch of humanity inspires you to work for the well-being, or does it make you feel a natural positive energy inside you? I am sure the day you add the sense of humanity in all the senses you have, you will have more senses than all the senses you have.
I wonder why I feel like I am useless after reading your post. I feel when you say about all senses, it is important to understand that there are moments in every person's life when he feels useless.
Maybe this is a temporary situation for me, and it may change with time. But I have faith in myself that I will maintain positivity, and if these feelings still persist for a longer time, then I will try something else. I will try my best to use all my senses, including humanity.
