Think Bigger

it’s about thinking BIG! Because here’s the funny thing … once you shoot higher, you really encounter LESS competition along the way, not more. In some ways, it’s actually EASIER to draw a bead on the celebs than it's to aim “realistic” goals.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a proponent of blind optimism. I’m actually a small amount of a pessimist myself. But statistically, only a few people be after MASSIVE goals. the general public aim “realistic” goals. Everyone wants to be REALISTIC. Well, there’s some fascinating research around this subject, and it seems that shooting for the huge goals isn’t such a nasty idea in spite of everything.

Just consider it for a second. Pick one among your work or business goals, say, for the following 12 months. It doesn’t really matter what it's. Just pick anything. Now, what’s the 10x version of that goal? Seriously. Take it and multiply it by 10 or perhaps 100. Don’t double it or triple it. No. Make it WAY bigger, by ORDERS of MAGNITUDE! What’s the STEROID version of that goal?

Now between those two, the massive one and therefore the original one, which does one think has more competition? chances are high that, the initial one is much more common, and consequently you've got 1,000,000 people who have the identical goal. which means more competition. Meanwhile, the large massive audacious goal is so crazy, so outlandish, so insane, that few people would even consider it, much less embrace it as their own. the general public just don’t have the center to travel after such massive goals, or time to stay going.

And it’s regrettable, because it’s plenty more fun! It’s more exciting. And as we’ll see, those big massive goals aren’t as crazy as you may think.
