A fairy tale that ends in two different ways. in one; The ant takes pity on the cicada and accepts it, while in the other, he closes the door for him and asks him to take a lesson. Which do you think is more virtuous? Do you see someone's mistake and accept it and correct it with kindness? Or do you want him to take a lesson by closing the door and asking him to regret it? I wrote the story this way because I took pity on him and advised him to bring it to the right path with kindness.

Sonu iki farklı şekilde biten bir masal. Birinde; karınca, ağustos böceğine acıyıp onu kabul ediyor, diğerinde ise ona kapıyı kapatıp ders almasını istiyor. Sizce hangisi daha erdemli? Birinin hatasını görüp onu kabul ederek iyilikle mi yola getirirsiniz? Yoksa ona kapıyı kapatıp pişman olmasını isteyerek ders almasını mı istersiniz? Ben acıyıp da iyilikle yola getirmesini tavsiye ettiğim için hikayeyi bu şekilde yazdım.

Once upon a time, small families lived in a huge forest. Bees, butterflies, insects are some of them. Some of them lived happily under the ground, some in the tree hollow, and some among the flowers. One of these insects was the Cicada and the other was the Ant.

When the season was spring in this forest, the birds would chirp, the trees would be filled with berries, all the animals in the forest would feast, their bellies would never go hungry. In the summer, fun begins, and they all play games and have fun, accompanied by songs.

While all this was going on, the Ant, known for his hard work, would collect seeds from flowers, fruits from trees, and berries from the soil and carry them to its nest for the winter. He even prepared his wood to burn in his stove in cold weather. Even though he was very tired, he never complained. He would do his job with great discipline and seriousness and prepare himself for the winter.

Bir zamanlar kocaman bir ormanın içinde küçük küçük aileler yaşarmış. Arılar, kelebekler, böcekler bunlardan bazıları. Kimi toprağın altında, kimi ağaç kovuğunda kimi de çiçeklerin arasında mutlu hayatları varmış. Bu böceklerden biri Ağustos Böceği bir diğeri de Karınca’ymış.

Bu orman da mevsim bahar olunca kuşlar cıvıldar, ağaçlar yemişlerle dolar, bütün ormandaki hayvanlar ziyafet çeker, karınları hiç aç kalmazmış. Yaz aylarında da eğlenceler başlar şarkılar eşliğinde hep beraber oyunlar oynar, eğlenirlermiş.

Tüm bunlar olurken çalışkanlığıyla tanınan Karınca çiçeklerden tohumlar, ağaçlardan meyveler, topraktan da yemişler toplar kış için yuvasına taşırmış. Soğuk havalarda sobasında yakmak için odunlarını bile hazırlamış. Çok yorulsa da hiç şikayetçi olmazmış. Büyük bir disiplin ve ciddiyetle işini yapar, kendini kışa hazırlarmış.

The Cicada, on the other hand, did not look at it that way at all. With his violin in hand, he danced, sang, traveled, ate and had fun all spring and summer months. Moreover, he did not make any preparations for the winter. His favorite things were to eat, have fun and sleep. Moreover, when he saw the hardworking ant, he would make fun of him because he did not know how to enjoy the summer. The hardworking ant didn't take him seriously, didn't even answer.

Come and go, days and months passed, the weather started to cool and winter came. First, the rain storm, then the white snow covered the ground. All the animals in the forest had retreated to their nests and there was silence.

One such day, while the hardworking ant was having dinner in his cozy house, he suddenly knocked on the door. When the ant opened the door, he saw the Cicada in front of him and was not surprised at all.

"No," said the ant.

The cicada on the door was pitiful and trembling.

"I'm so cold and hungry. Nobody gave me food or took me home. Can you help me?" said.

Ağustos Böceği ise olaya hiç öyle bakmazmış. Elinde kemanı ile bütün bahar ve yaz ayları boyunca dans eder, şarkı söyler, gezer, yemiş yer ve eğlenirmiş. Üstelik kış için hiçbir hazırlık yapmazmış. En sevdiği şey yemek yemek, eğlenmek ve yatmakmış. Üstelik çalışkan karıncayı görünce onunla dalga geçer yazın tadını çıkarmayı bilmediği için alay edermiş. Çalışkan karınca onu ciddiye almaz, cevap bile vermezmiş.

Gel zaman git zaman günler, aylar geçmiş havalar soğumaya başlamış ve kış gelmiş. Önce yağmur fırtına derken toprağı bembeyaz kar sarıp sarmalamış. Ormandaki bütün hayvanlar yuvasına çekilmiş ortalığı bir sessizlik kaplamış.

İşte böyle bir gün, çalışkan karınca sıcacık evinde akşam yemeğini yerken birden kapısı çalmış. Karınca kapıyı açınca karşısında Ağustos Böceği’ni görmüş ve hiç şaşırmamış.

-“Hayırdır” demiş karınca.

Kapıdaki ağustos böceğinin acınacak hali varmış ve tir tir titriyormuş.

-“Çok üşüdüm ve acıktım. Kimse bana yemek vermedi ve evine almadı. Bana yardım eder misin?” demiş.

The ant, both angry and sad, wanted to teach him a lesson:

-“You've been traveling all summer, and you've been making fun of me. I'm sorry, you should pay for what you did", and closed the door in the face of the Cicada.

At that moment, the Cicada realized its mistake and made a decision on its own. He promised that he would not make such a mistake from now on, that he would act not only for today but also for the future.

Hearing this, the hardworking ant believed the promise of the cicada, allowed it to spend the winter with it in its nest and shared its food with it.

Karınca hem sinirli bir o kadarda üzüntülü şekilde ona ders vermek istemiş:

-“Bütün yaz gezip eğlendin üstelik benimle dalga geçtin. Kusura bakma yaptığının cezasını çekmelisin”, diyerek kapıyı Ağustos Böceği’nin suratına kapatmış.

Ağustos Böceği işte o anda yaptığı hatanın farkına varmış ve kendi kendine bir karar almış. Bundan sonra böyle bir hata yapmayacağına sadece bu günü değil yarınını da düşünerek hareket edeceğine söz vermiş.

Bunu duyan çalışkan karınca ağustos böceğinin verdiği söze inanmış o kışı onunla beraber yuvasında geçirmesine izin vermiş ve yemeğini onunla paylaşmış.
