Because if that man hadn't left, you probably wouldn't have changed so much today. Look, change comes in all our lives. We do not change ourselves after being hit hard by someone or suffering. Normally our lives never change.
We trust everyone around us before we get hurt by someone, before we get tricked into believing someone. We think everyone around us loves us. Everyone wants the best for us. But after being deceived by someone, after losing faith by believing, we realize that not everyone around us really wants us well, not everyone loves us, not everyone gives us the dignity of faith. Then we learn to recognize and understand the people around us.
We wouldn't be so big today if we didn't get hurt so badly in life, if we didn't trust someone and cheat in a very bad way. Maybe I never knew the people around me very well. So you are very close to the man who left you, hurt you badly, cheated on you. Thank that man. Make him an experience, not a past.
