A Feathered Friend on a Sunny Afternoon
Hello everyone and welcome to my Feathered Friends post today
I'm back this week after a small hiatus due to internet issues. If you think it's a pain to get the cable company to come over to fix your internet, try it during a lock down =(
Today I'm over at a friends house frogging off his internet so I can bring you today's post.
I was out on the deck today doing some gardening that's been delayed but the garden store has opened back up now so....
I had my camera out as well and I was practicing with the long lens when my little White Crowned Sparrow friend dropped by for a snack.
He's singing away at me, more than likely telling me to go away as I'm standing right by the seeds he is after lol
I have my camera set to beep when it acquires focus and I notice the Sparrow is responding to the beeps lol, chirping back at each beep.
After a couple of minutes of beeping and chirping it looked like he was ready to take off and I was hoping to get a shot of it launching so I began shooting a burst of images.
I didn't get the fly off the last image was just the tree branch.
I'm looking around for another shot when I hear the Sparrow chirping at me again.
I look down and it's on the deck rail a few feet away. Had to back up a couple steps as it was too close for for the lens.
I took several burst shots as we did the beep, chirp thing again
After a few minutes and about 2 doz images I went over and sat down so our Sparrow here could get it's reward.
By the time I moved over and sat down he was already munching away on seeds.
I see this little Sparrow several times a day, every day weather and cat allowing O.o
Mmmmmm Seeds.....

Such cute sparrow and your pictures are really good quality, normally they are so hectic and always on move but you managed to get a deal with him or probably he knew that will be rewarded :)
Thanks @stef1
Yeah the Sparrows are always bouncing around, Usually have to use a high shutter speed to freeze them, these were shot at around 1000 ss
This sparrow is very used to me will come in close to me and hang out even with the beeping and shutter noise. Too close at times, this lens has a 2.8 meter minimum focus distance.
Thanks for stopping by =)
