SLC S21W4/ Educational games for better learning

Educational games are an essential part of learning for a developing child. At times, We see children who has relatively good iQ but lack this cognitive abilities. One thing is for certain and it's that the child wasn't exposed to Educational games.In my write-up, I'll show the steps how I created an educational game for my junior brother.

Process of creating this educational game

I have been with my brother for some times and I decided to play this game with him. Honestly I don't know the name used to decribe the game but I call it an A-Z game. With that, I tore a sheet of paper, a pen and a ruler to begin my creation. On a column, I inputted the 26 letters of the alphabet and created other columns in the games. In those columns were topics like names,animals, drinks, fruits, etc.

Description of the game

The purpose of this game was for word vocabulary building. For my brother, we played this game before when my twins siblings were around. Because of this, he knew the rule of the game. For the sake of knowledge, the rule of the game is that whenever a letter is being called, the players should write down the words starting with the proposed initial in each of the columns. For instance, if letter A is called, a player is expected to write Apple under Fruit columns or other words beginning from that initial. Here is the grading of the game.

As I said earlier, my main motive of the game is to develop the word bank of my proposed player (,my younger brother).

The General Review About the Game

The backstory behind the game is that my younger brother came up to told me that he's a word professor. At his tender age, I was surprised to hear that from him and I had to challenge him to this game. From what I saw, he was thrilled and entertained during the course of the game.

To me, I saw that the game really moved him in exploring new words. The game was just a fair competition as we had our head locked in for this. At last, I took the upper hand and I win the game. I was surprised when he told me that he'll love to go again but I told him we will do it soonest.
