Behind the Meet Up (AKMAG Hotels)

One of the offline activities I loved about Steemit is meet up. After racking your brain to produce quality content each day, that individual will require some time off to interact and blend with fellow users. Here is where the function of meet up. For me, I had attended a lot of meet up but I’ll love to expatiate the last one I attended.

This meet up was in honor of @bossj23 celebrating his 3rd year on Steemit. Here are some unforgettable moments from the meet up

• Expensive prank: We expected something from the meet up but this one took us off guard. Bossj23 decided the award someone with the highest amount of Steem accumulated in a month, @vudeme123.

When the reward was revealed, it was a phone pack of Redmi note 13. The excitement emitted from the girl knew no bound but when she saw nothing but a prank when opened.

• Certificate award to the celebrant: This award session was implement by @uduak3287 and the awardees’ was thee celebrant, bossj23.
  The celebrant was so emotional seeing this.
• Of course challenge: There was this trendy challenge on Tiktok (of course challenge). We brought in our Steemit related experiences into the challenge.

3 detailed refreshments you got at the meet up

One of the features of any Steemit meet up is that there is always an item 6 (Refreshment). Since the organizer wanted something simple but impactful, we planned a simple refreshment style. So, first on the menu is pastries like puff puff and eggroll. Then, we were treated to different carbonated drinks of all kind. To step down everything, Ngoenyi brought in liquor which was used to stabilize the equation.

Any challenge that almost prevented you from attending the event

Yeah, I had a challenge and it was locating the venue of the meet up. The thing was the venue wasn’t in an open place. Rather it was located off the highway. I had to call Bossj23 for the direction. After searching for a while, I found the place finally. As a point to note, the venue was AKMAG hotels, off Udo Udoma Avenue.
