SLC S21W6/Family Picnic
The toast
It was going to be a sunny day, and I knew this as the bright sun shimmered on our faces. It took me almost an hour to think of a place to picnic; thoughts bombarded my head, and as my friends were already here waiting, we should have done this a day before, but I postponed it after gathering the picnic chip-chops on Wednesday because aside from having a cool moment with less intense sunlight, our photographs and time spent would have been reduced because it was getting darker.
We went to the open space, a garden; at least with today's intense early morning sunlight, we will receive VITAMIN D, though if it pinches our skin much, we have a shade.
Who accompanied you on this adventure? |
---|
It reminds me of an action movie I watched some time ago; whenever the opposition approaches with a vehicle, I hear the other party say, We've got company.
Saviour | Blessing |
---|
God'sgift | Daniel |
---|
So I've got companies; I have only two faces, which you could remember vividly, and that is God'sgift face and my face, but today she brought her friends to join us. It's a picnic, and we expect more company. At least this Christmas season, it is never wrong if we start our fun now. The friends she brought are from one family she is so familiar with and have been stopping by to watch cartoons. She waited for her friend to loosen her hair, and then she brought her. The tall Black one, a little inches taller than God'sgift, is Blessing, followed by Daniel and Saviour, beautiful Godly names we have here.
Which place did you choose for the picnic? Comment on the place |

We left our vicinity a short distance away to a place where there would be no distraction; only our voices would be heard, and that is a nearby garden. It has tall trees around. This place is calm, and while the sun shone so bright, we had a canopy of leaves on our heads. Beside the garden is a building, which has a partition that is a bar, and that is where I bought our drinks a day before.
Talk about the menu for this picnic; what food did they share? |
---|
I know you will salivate; while we cornered our way down to this place, we came across a barbecue, and we picked some roasted suya meat, a meat made from cow's skin; the moment wasn't captured. Feed your eyes on the table, and you will see a popular vitamin-containing juice known as SMOOV, another is biscuits known as FISHBISCUITS, and CRACKER biscuits. The children also requested noodles, so I had to order for it; it was well garnished. Look at the egg on top! I added bread for them because it could be spilt, and noodles are added in between. They were so happy to take this after the picnic.

Saviour was sad at this point when he heard the sack wasn't enough for him to join in the sack race; he wanted to compete with Blessing and God'sgift. Even with this, I don't think he would have won or been able to move because he is just 4 years old. Daniel, who was a bit more mature, was glad to stand and watch others race because he knew his turn for other competitions was close.
Today I played many games: hide and seek, sack race, and normal race. Hide and seek and normal race are where I called Saviour in. If you see the way he was happy, his countenance changed; he was just smiling all through.
Blessing was the legend of the seeker, while others hid; God'sgift took a very hidden spot where tall suckers were her hiding place, on the opposite side funny Saviour is there again covering his face and squatting beside a block. Daniel always wanted to be unnoticed, and he hid himself in a very unusual place, with no blockage, just beside the bar wall. Blessing caught all of them, including God'sgift. I suspected she saw all angles where they could likely position themselves before I closed her eyes.
The last game we played before retreating to our picnic dining table was a race. Everybody participated, and everybody was happy. They were arguing about who would win. The race began, all were on their marks, and the race began. Saviour took last, hahaha, but his energy surprises me.
Funny anecdotes or special moments they experienced |
---|
This group of kids enjoyed this game of hide and seek so well, but their hiding places made me laugh, especially that of funny saviour; they giggled as the seeker touched their head. I still stood in awe when the seeker went to the bush to catch God'sgift; she was shocked too and ran inside. You can watch the video to see it.
Apart from just enjoying the race and looking forward to drinking smoov after now, we sang a song, do you know children can pitch so high that I wonder if some people with bad voices today were like this when they were young, but it true that most people had a good voice at tender age upon practising they maintain it or get better, I waited for a song suggestion from them, finally the nursery school rhyme is one song all of them could sing to the end so we sang all along and the youngest was able to sing alongside, their laughter is contagious and I must tell you, you can't stay with children and have a dull moment, their inquisitive nature was so amazing before we left they ask a lot of question about where we were going to and what they will see but the park was fun and they appreciated every moment and never wanted to return home.
Don't forget to upload photos of these activities, the place, the food, the games, and where the children, you, and the whole family go out |
