SLC S21W3 || Traditional Games || Takyan
Greetings Everyone,
I'm @jobreyes24 from Philippines. Let me participate to this "Steemit Learning Challenge", Traditional Games organized by @anailuj1992.
Traditional Games are games usually played for children. It is important for their development. It let them learn and enjoy games, making friends, and develop their physical ability.
What is the name of your traditional game you selected? In your own words, explain how to play.
I like to introduce to you "Takyan". It is played using "tingga" or a washer inserted with straw or candy wrapper. It is played by throwing or hitting the takyan by hands, elbow, and foot. It is played single, double, or by groups and can be played indoor or outdoor.
What are your rules? Did you make any changes to the rules to suit you?
- 1.The first thing to do is all players kick the takyan and the lowest score is the loser and will serve each players.
- 2.The game can be played by hand ( easy), elbow ( moderate), and foot ( hard).
- 3.It is decided how many throws or kick will be played.
- 4.If the first player failed to complete number of throws and kicks the second player can save him by completing it.
- 5.The player should make the last throw or kick away from the loser. If he can catch it, he wins.
Did the kids have fun? Share your experience playing this traditional game with them. Feel free to tell us about the best moments you experience during the activity.
Definitely we had fun. It was full of excitements because we're in the same level of skills. We also did trashtalks. We played it outdoor and windy weather add difficulties.
I invited my young neighbors to play takyan. Fortunately, they accepted it. It was a great feeling to play the game that I used to play during my young age. And I was able to play and compete. I also sweated. Moreover, I saw the joy of the children. I was unwind and made new friends.
Thanks for the opportunity of this wonderful the contest.
