Cryptogee Chess Is Here!
Chess is a great love of mine, it relaxes me whilst focusing my mind. In the past few months I have found myself playing more and more chess, and am really getting back into the game. As well as helping with focus, I believe it helps with logical and strategic thinking. In other words; playing chess for the mind, is like going to the gym for the body.
Steem Communities
Steemit communities has finally arrived, and I've been mulling over what community to start for the last couple of months now. So, you guessed it, I am starting a Steemit chess community, along with a Youtube channel Cryptogee Chess.
I will put up recordings of my games with analyses of various games of mine, and others. In addition I'll eventually live stream some tournaments I play in.
I usually play one minute blitz games to warm me up, then I tend to play the 5/3 games, whereby you get 5 minutes, however each move you do you get 3 seconds, so it's still possible to keep the time going with just a few seconds on the clock, with some ultra quick moving!
Quest
I will also document my quest to become an 'M' rated player, basically I'd love to make it to NM (national master) sometimes called CM (candidate master), which requires a skill rating of at least 2000. My rating at the time of writing is 1346 for 5/3 games and 989 for one minute bullet games.
Whilst that may not seem very far away to someone who doesn't understand chess ratings, both are miles away. For instance, at the moment if I played a 1500 rated player, I almost definitely would lose to them in a one off game. In a series of ten, I would stand almost zero chance in coming out in front, I think they'd have to be ill and delirious on cold medicine for me to stand a chance.
Someone of a 1700 rating would beat me every single time, only losing when they got bored and weren't paying attention.
So, whether I'll make it or not is not certain, what is certain though, is at some point, I'll have to do some proper, formal chess training, which I've never done, so that should be interesting, and very challenging. However, I'm up for the challenge, and I hope you tune in to check out my progress!
IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR CHESS CONTENT YOU'D LIKE TO SEE ON THE CHANNEL OR IN THE COMMUNITY, THEN AS EVER, LET ME KNOW BELOW!
Hi I'm interested in moderating hivemind chess you have, besides looking to attract users inside steemit and outside.
Cool, I'll keep you in mind once it properly gets going. Thanks.

I will be looking forward for it, maybe we can play sometime I am rate 1791 on lichess.org but I only play rapid 10+0 games. Although I haven't played in a while (my user is also onthewayout there).
Awesome! With that rating you'll most probably thrash me!! I'd like to play you though, it's always good to play people who are better, although I hope you don't get too bored playing me!
My username is the same as on here; Cryptogee.
