Dear Steemians!

We're announcing the first edition of the Steemit Weekly competitions in partnership with six communities at steemit.com. In each community we are making the contest with the topic related to the leitmotif of the first edition - "diversity".

Entries can be submitted until Sunday, June 13th, 6pm (GMT-3), and the announcement of the results will be on Monday, June 14th, 6pm (GMT-3).

Winners will receive 10 STEEMs and their text will be presented in the "Steemit Weekly" newspaper which will be published electronically and on paper. The electronic version of the newspaper will be available to download in all participating communities and in the
"Steemit Weekly".

Estamos anunciando la primera edición de las competencias Steemit Weekly en asociación con seis comunidades en steemit.com. En cada comunidad estamos haciendo el concurso con el tema relacionado de la primera edición - "diversidad".

Las inscripciones se pueden enviar hasta el domingo 13 de junio a las 6 p.m. (GMT-3), y el anuncio de los resultados será el lunes 14 de junio a las 6 p.m. (GMT-3).

Los ganadores recibirán 10 STEEM y su texto se publicará en el periódico "Steemit Weekly", que se realizará en formato electrónico y en papel. La versión electrónica del periódico se presentará en todas las comunidades participantes y en
"Steemit Weekly".

What to write about:

The leitmotif of this edition is diversity and multiculturalism. Therefore, I would like you to write a post of any length that will describe one chosen traditional kind of music or dance.

Examples:

• Chamamé - music from rural parts of Argentina
• Tango - Argentinian dance which conquered the world
• Cumbia - music of the Latin America
• Waltz, Menuet, Polka and other European dances
• Growl voice in ethnic music
• Gazel or Qawwali from Pakistan
• or any other kind of music or dance which comes to your mind

You can describe how does this music sound/how does the dance look like, you can add some historical facts, examples of the most popular artists or you can mention when and where it's possible to hear that kind of music/see the dance (is it rural or city tradition? Is it related to some festival or holiday?).

El motivo de esta edición es la diversidad y la multiculturalidad. Por lo tanto, me gustaría que escribiera una publicación de cualquier extensión que describiera un tipo de música o baile tradicional elegido.

° Chamamé - música de zonas rurales de Argentina
° Tango - Danza argentina que conquistó el mundo
° Cumbia - música de América Latina
° Vals, Menuet, Polka y otros bailes europeos
° Voz gruñona en música étnica
° Gazel o Qawwali de Pakistán
° Cualquier otro tipo de música o baile que se te ocurra

Puede describir cómo suena esta música / cómo se ve el baile, puede agregar algunos hechos históricos, ejemplos de los artistas más populares o puede mencionar cuándo y dónde es posible escuchar ese tipo de música / ver el baile (es ¿Es tradición rural o urbana? ¿Está relacionado con alguna fiesta o festividad?).
