How weather effect our life and play important role ? what kind of weather do you like and why you like it.

Weather refers to the activities in the atmosphere within a specific period of time such as rainfall, storms, wind and humidity. The period maybe short or long but in most cases weather change occurs within a short period. Sometimes some people intertwined what weather and climate really means which is not supposed to be because weather and climate are two separate concept though they are very much related. Before I will further in this discussion I will like to talk about climate because we can't talk about weather change and neglect the concept of climate.

What's Climate ?

Climate is referred to the condition for the event of change in weather to occur over a long time or it is the pattern of weather in a particular area over a long period. It is clear that climate is the study of weather pattern over a long period in a particular area.

Weather is obviously important to mankind as it's numerously contributes to the type of activities that can be done during a particular period. A particular weather will decide whether you will have to stay indoor or outdoor and also determines the type of dress you put on.

Some of the important roles weather plays in our life are highlighted below

Weather impacts accessibility of water
Climate (pattern of weather over a long period) influences water access to the people around the world. Climate change In a particular area influences the water cycle by influencing when, where, and how much precipitation/rain falls. Favorable weather plays an important role of how much people of the world will have access to water. There can be consequences like severe droughts and flood if the weather is not favorable or extreme like heavy rainfall which is caused by precipitation of evaporated water as a result of high climate temperature.

Weather impacts drinking water
Everybody deserves a clean and safe drinking water but weather however determine how clean and safe to drink water will be. And there are lot of factors that determines how clean and safe to drink water is. few examples below.
✓ Erosion: The quality of drinking water sources may be compromised as dirty water mixed with water source due to erosion events.
✓Storm: It affects the quality of drinking water sources may also be compromised by increased sediment or nutrient inputs due to extreme storm events.
✓ Temperature: This is a weather condition that occurs when there's increase in global climate temperature which directly increase water temperature and this cause eutrophication and excess algal growth, which will reduce drinking water quality.

Therefore a favorable weather condition plays a very important role in quality of drinking water

Weather impacts Agriculture
Weather and climate plays a very crucial role on agriculture and its activities as they both impact the amount of rainfall and the temperature in a particular area, which actually determines the agricultural best activities that can be carried out. It also determines the types of crops that can be planted for food in due season.

what kind of weather do you like and why you like it.

I love a sunny weather, I love it because no clouds is blocking the sunlight and the temperature is warm. I love to keep my body warm as always because it helps my body to stay very active at the same time agile.

What region do you live in? And what are the seasons in your region?

I live in Nigeria western part of Africa and I currently stay in Ibadan which is located in Southwest of the country. There are two major seasons in Nigeria. The wet season (summer) it starts from late March to October and the other is the dry season (winter) it is from November to February.

What is your favorite season And why do you like it?

Sincerely I don't really think I have a favorite season because both have their benefits but if I'm to choose I would prefer winter season because this is the period where there are a lot of seasonal fruits and vegetables which can be healthy for the body and tasty. There are aalsoa lot of celebrations and ceremonies in winter season especially in Nigeria so I get to visit a lot of beautiful places and meet some friends I have been longing to see. Especially during Christmas and New year celebration.

Depending on the season in your region or country or city, which rituals are more celebrated?

In Nigeria there are countless festival but because it is mostly populated by christians and Muslims, so the most celebrated festival are as follow
✓Christmas festival It is celebrated in December during winter season,
✓Easter festival it is celebrated in mid-wet season
✓New year festival It is celebrated after Christmas celebration in winter season.
✓Salah festival: It means festival of breaking fast and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan celebrated in dry season.

What clothes and food do you like depending on the season(cultural reflection)?

In summer season I love to wear light clothes preferable with short trousers because the degree of heat is high in Nigeria and I get to sweat during hot temperature so light clothes makes me very much comfortable and agile. During winter season I make sure I wear woolen clothes to prevent the cold from penetrating into my body.
And as regards foods I love to have my food hot in winter season and not too cold in summer. I also love to take much fruits during summer season because it keeps my body hydrated and prevent infections.

Which season's fruit do you like and why?
Apart from you, which season do the people of your area prefer?

I love fruits that are produced during rainy season. Because it is fresh, succulent, juicy and contains more nutrients than that in the dry season. I especially prefer to eat fresh vegetables during summer season.

which season do the people of your area prefer?

Firstly I live in Ibadan, individual choice will be based on their occupation or business. Ibadan is a city that is always busy with business everyday, it has several constructions companies, marketing company, banks and big markets. So basically dry season is preferable because people can move freely to trade their respective business unlike raining season that affects sales because people are forced to remain indoor.

In which season does your area face more difficulties and what are those difficulties?

A little damage is caused during dry season only that dry season helps the spreading of infections. My Area face a lot of difficulties in mostly raining season especially when there is heavy rainfall, countless numbers of floods and droughts are being recorded yearly because of improper drainage system. Heavy rainfall damage people's properties, storms during rainfall demolish some houses and cause so havock. Erosion and floods worsening the bad roads.

CONCLUSION
This is really an interesting topic in which I am happy to have contributed my quota indeed weather plays a very crucial role in human life. I also believe that it's practically not possible to have a balance weather throughout the year it has to change all we have to do is just to know how best will can conform well and make our lifestyle beautiful in every season.
