Definition of advice
نصیحت کی تعریف
| The word admonition is usually used in the sense of speaking of goodness and good advice. That is, the person who is being admonished, his complete goodness and goodwill intent is interpreted as the word admonition. | نصیحت کا لفظ عام طور پر بھلائی کی بات بتانے اور نیک مشورے کے مفہوم میں استعمال ہوتا ہے ۔ یعنی کہ جس شخص کو نصیحت کی جا رہی ہو، اس کی مکمل بھلائی اور خیر خواہی کے ارادے کو لفظ نصیحت سے تعبیر کیا جاتا ہے |

Allah's statement about advice in the Holy Quran
قرآن مجید میں نصحیت کے بارے میں اللّٰہ پاک کا فرمان
| The Almighty commands you to do justice and help your relatives and forbids immorality, evil deeds and rebellion. He admonishes you to accept and remember | اﷲ تعالیٰ تمہیں عدل احسان اور قرابت داروں کو امداد دینے کا حکم دیتا ہے اور بے حیائی بُرے کام اور سرکشی سے منع کرتا ہے ۔ وہ تمہیں اس لیے نصیحت کرتا ہے کہ تم اسے قبول کرو اور یاد رکھو |

The words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا فرمان
| The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mentioned the rights of a Muslim over a Muslim and mentioned one of their advices: When he asks you for advice, advise him. | رسول اکرم صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مسلمان کے مسلمان پر حقوق کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے ان میں سے ایک نصیحت کے متعلق ذکر فرمایا کہ جب تم سے وہ نصیحت طلب کرے تو اسے نصیحت کرو |

| Admonition is the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) under normal circumstances, but when one wishes to listen to admonition, then it is necessary to admonish him. | نصیحت عام حالات میں سنت نبوی صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہے مگر جب کوئی نصیحت کی بات سننے کی خواہش ظاہِر کرے تو پھر اسے نصیحت کرنا ضروری ہے |

حضرت سیّدنا علی المرتضیٰ کرم اﷲ وجہہ کے نصیحت کے بارے میں ارشاد
| Advising someone in public is tantamount to trampling on their personality. And when you rebuke a young man, consider his faults as an excuse so that he may not become stubborn with your harshness. | لوگوں کے سامنے کسی کو نصیحت کرنا اس کی شخصیت کو پامال کرنے کے مترادف ہے ۔ اور جب کسی نوجوان کو ملامت کرو تو اس کی غلطیوں کو لائق عذر سمجھو تاکہ تمہاری سختی سے وہ ہٹ دھرم نہ بن جائے |
