Steemit mentors and what I learned from them.
When I first joined steemit, it was so complicated to him as I didn't the whereby on how to navigate into it. At first, when I read diary game and some post which was about 500 to 1000 words, I felt discouraged as I didn't thought I could do it. But along the line I decided to test myself first, then see the next results.
The first post I made was crazy, it was diary,
where I explained my activities that day. Innocent me.......there was no markdown except picture and some tag. I even use the #club5050 though I didn't really know what it mean. I posted it with confidence all my mind was telling me: oh....man you nailed it. With the over confidence i had to reach out to my friend to show him that I have decide to blog. He was just smiling and be like: if you use this spirit in the right way you will go far.
Omo, I was like......so I haven't started yet? Doest it means I wasted my time? He said I need to start in a right way. Right way which is? Introduction. That's how we helped me in making introduction. Oh I have forgotten that I didn't mention his name, he's @alli001. We were able to make the introduction about days. I remember that particular I was in the working place, looking for placards to write my username and the date. At last I was able to get a photo with a cup after using different phone because I needed a clear picture. So my best regards to @alli001 as he's the super man that brought me to the light.
It's doesn't end there. After I joined steemit, at first I started joining contest and getting little support from the community. But to some extent it stops. I began to wonder what was happening as I was already feeling discouraged to write. So I joined the newcomer community in discord and I was able to communicate with top steemian in the platform. They answered all the questions I doubted but one of them really touched me. As a newcomer when you're not been supported you might began to find where the problem came from, is it my post, am I not writing well? What did I do wrong? So many questions. So I ask the @the-gorila who is always active to help answer newcomer questions. I asked him to check my account whether there's anything interesting, something that my attract curator to my post.
I send my username and I was waiting for what he has to say. Some minutes later, I got a reply from him though i wasn't happy for what he said but later i began to understand his point of view. According to his statement his said he couldn't find anything interesting in my blog that attract him to read about him. And he added I should write what I like to do as it will help me to blog everyday. At first I digested it harshly but I later realized that there's a point in his reply. Did I got a result from it? Many times. Thank you @the-gorilla for your assistance.
Here come the mentors I meet on Whatsapp group. @saintkelvin17, @bossj23, @emishaeal60, @basil20 and many more. That was the best moment every have a conversation with them as they share their problem they encounter as a newcomer and also they also corrected me when I made mistakes on my post. I can't forget to mention them as their encouragement makes me feel steeming.

What about others in the platform, no I won't forget to mention my buddy, my adviser and my partner @wakeupkitty. At first I use to avoid her because of her long comments. How would someone be writing about 1000 to 200 words on just comment? That's was crazy to me. But when I started engaging with her, asking her questions I began to learn from her. I must say when it comes to make quality comment, I really learn it from her. In fact imagine the happiness when I got the first $2 on comment which I never earn on comment for about a year. My comment use to be $0.5 maximum but now sometimes I got $2 to $2.5. Incredible, Thank you @wakeupkitty and encourage in the platform.
I won't also forget to give a shout out to my gist and vawulense partners, @ogechukwu-martha @cicisaja @cryptopie for their time and encouragement. When it comes to engagement, they are on my to list. I also give shout out to all the steemian, those who supported me in delegation, voting and always checking on me. Did I mention @hardphotographer and @aneukpineung78? I wish you'll the best. My regards to @steemcurator05, @steemcurator09, @josepha and @booming03. Everyone in the platform contributed in my success as I must celebrate with them.
