Indonesian Red Cross Bireuen Regency Holds Basic Education and Training in 2024.
A number of members of the Indonesian Red Cross Voluntary Corps (KSR PMI) Peusangan Almuslim University (Umuslim) Unit, took part in the ongoing Basic Education and Training (Diklatsar) which was held at the PMI Headquarters, Bireuen Regency, 7 to 9 June 2024.
The Education and Training event was opened by the Deputy Chancellor III of UMuslim, Drh. Zulfikar, M.Si in the courtyard of the Umuslim rectorate building, Friday, 7/6/2024. This training was attended by 21 participants, consisting of 17 members from the Umuslim Indonesian Red Cross Voluntary Corps (KSR PMI) unit and 4 members from the Bireuen Regency PMI headquarters unit.
In his address, Zulfikar stated that the main aim of this Diklatsar was to form a regeneration of new KSR PMI membership. Completion of this training, he said, is a mandatory requirement for new members to become PMI volunteers.
“This program is designed so that participants can fulfill the basic requirements that every PMI volunteer must have. "This activity is the final series of training that started in September 2023," explained Zulfikar.
Meanwhile at the closing, Sunday (9/6/2024), the Secretary of PMI Bireuen Regency, Juanda Abdullah, SE, expressed his hope that new members could become active and reliable drivers in every necessary activity.
The training was led by the Commander of the KSR Unit of the Almuslim University Campus, Suryadi and Al Ahyar, S.Kom, as chairman of the committee from the Bireuen Regency PMI Headquarters.
According to him, this Training and Training is one way for KSR to continue working for the Muslim Ummah. The training material includes basic history of the Red Cross, disaster management, first aid, and other basic materials that are requirements for PMI KSR education.
Apart from that, further training was also held in the form of vertical rescue training. The participants carried out a rescue simulation at height.
By joining Diksar, it is hoped that these new members will become active and strong volunteers as well as being the successors of the PMI organization.
This basic education activity is a series of activities that must be taken by every individual who has a high social spirit and wants to be involved and serve in PMI.
In this activity they will be educated and trained in such a way that after they graduate from DIKSAR, they will become a generation of PMI volunteers who are ready to enter society and serve the nation and state.
The theme of Diksar is to form volunteers for humanitarian missions who are professional, alert, responsive and mentally strong.
