Dozens of Orphans Receive Savings Books.

Dozens of orphans in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar received savings books included in the Child Welfare and Protection Program from the Islamic Relief Indonesia Foundation. Symbolically, the savings book was handed over by the Head of Aceh Social Services, Dr. Muslem, S.Ag, M.Pd accompanied by Child Welfare and Protection Coordinator, Yusrizal Puteh. Tuesday (4/6) in the Aceh Social Services Hall.

As is known, Islamic Relief Indonesia distributes savings accounts to orphans from Banda Aceh City and Aceh Besar Regency, who only received sponsors during the first quarter of 2024.

The Islamic Relief program, starting from a determination to alleviate the vulnerability of orphans after the 2004 Tsunami in Aceh, Islamic Relief Indonesia through the Orphan Sponsorship Program (OSP) continues to survive and strives to increase the number of orphans to be sponsored through donor support from various countries in the world.

Islamic Relief Indonesia's Child Welfare and Protection Coordinator, Yusrizal Puteh, explained that this activity had become Islamic Relief's commitment to support education, health and financing for Indonesian orphans.

"It has become Islamic Relief's commitment to support education, health and reduce the cost of living for orphaned children in Aceh Province, especially in 4 Regencies/Cities: Banda Aceh, Aceh Besar, Aceh Jaya and West Aceh, especially through the Orphan Sponsorship Program," explained Yusrizal .

He said, in Aceh Province, the Islamic Relief Indonesia OSP Program continues to strive to reach orphans from vulnerable families in every sub-district within the Islamic Relief Indonesia work area in Aceh.
