Acting Regent Inaugurates Hanafiah as Acting Regional Secretary of Bireuen.

Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, S.H., M.M inaugurated and took the oath of office, Hanafiah, S.P., CGCAE, as Acting Regional Secretary (Sekda) which took place, Monday, 3/2/2025, at Opprom Setdakab.

The inauguration procession was attended by assistants, heads of departments, agencies, offices and sub-district heads from 17 sub-districts within the Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab).

Acting Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, S.H., M.M in his remarks said that the inauguration of a high-ranking official, namely the Regional Secretary, is a common thing in the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) management system. This is an implementation of the provisions of Article 127 of Government Regulation Number 11 of 2017, concerning the management of Civil Servants (PNS).

It was also explained that the inauguration of the Regional Secretary was carried out based on the Decree of the Governor of Aceh Number: BKA.800/11/P3/2025 Concerning the Approval of the Appointment of the Acting Regional Secretary of Bireuen Regency.

Also in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number: 3 of 2018 which regulates the Acting Regional Secretary (PSD) with the aim of ensuring the smooth implementation of government duties, he explained.

This inauguration is also to fill the vacant position because the previous Regional Secretary, Ir Dr Ibrahim Ahmad, M.Si, has entered retirement. The position of Regional Secretary cannot be empty, the Regional Secretary has an important role to assist the regional head in formulating policies and fostering relationships between related stakeholders.

"I hope that the Regional Secretary must be able to carry out all activities and administrative tasks, be able to take strategic steps, for the smooth running of government and development. He must also be able to coordinate, communicate and synergize with regional apparatus, religious leaders, community leaders, vertical agencies, TNI/Polri and other stakeholders," hoped Jalaluddin.

At the end of his speech, the Acting Regent of Bireuen said that the swearing-in of the Acting Regional Secretary was also a form of commitment from the Bireuen Regency Government to ensure that this position is held by individuals who have high integrity, competence and dedication," he concluded.
