Hello, everyone!

I may not have mentioned this in my previous diary game post, but Valentine's Day was the day that I finally went to SM City after more than a year. I was so happy even though it was a short malling. It was our meeting place since the condo unit we rented is in front of the mall.

I was so itchy to go to the bookstore and art shop, but time didn't permit me to go there. With that, I decided I should go back and have some good smell of the books and lovely sight of art materials.

At first, I was hesitant to go because the number of COVID cases here in Cebu City is still increasing. But when my housemate told me that she will go to SM City, I decided to come with her. I tried finishing my work at 6:30 in the evening, and then I started preparing. I was hoping to ride a jeepney but because it was already 7:00 PM, we decided to ride a taxi.

When we arrived, we went straight to the perfume store. I'm not a fan of perfume, so I turned right and entered a bookstore. I was so happy to smell again the rustic scent of books. I recently bought books on Shopee, but in my mind, if there's a Bridgerton series, I will definitely buy it. As I was looking for some gems, I saw a poetry book, and without thinking, my hand grabbed it. I even saw Kathy Reichs's books. My oh my! I still have lots of pending reads.

I don't want to torture myself, so I went to the counter to pay for the one book that I was intended to buy. Again, without thinking, I asked the lady-in-charge if there are poetry books available. She paused and then displayed nine poetry books in front of me. From one book, I bought three books. I am a softie when it comes to books.

Next to Book Sale was the Art Bar. The gravitational pull of the art shop was immensely strong. I didn't know where to look at first. It was so colorful and pleasing to my eyes. I didn't know what to buy first. It took me almost half an hour to decide I only need two paintbrushes. I wanted to buy pen brush or watercolor pencils, but I was out of budget already.

It was definitely a happy day for me. I am so glad that I went out even just for a bit. I feel like I was a kid. I want to go there soonest, and I just hope and pray this pandemic will be over.

Also, I haven't ridden a jeepney, but I was able to ride a bus. Happy kiddo! I really miss the previous norm.
