The Diary Game: DAY 10 | 10 August 2020, Monday: Work From Home and Spending Time With Nephew

Today is another workday but due to severe headache, I was not able to come to the office. I told my boss about my health condition and he agreed for me to stay at home but nonetheless, I am still asked to work from home. Even if I am not in the office, but my goodness, there are a lot of work to do.

The day passed by quickly as expected, and thankfully I have gotten better. Throughout the day I was able to sleep for half an hour but being cut because of the frequent phone calls from work. Thankfully, my head is no longer aching.

By evening, my nephew went inside our room bringing his tiny cars. He loves toy cars a lot and I always play with him. When he saw me, he instantly gave his car and tapped my hand signalling me to start playing with the car. I spent almost an hour playing with him. Seeing him happy when I always play with him makes me happy too. It makes my heart swell whenever I make him happy.

I just love being with kids. They bring joy to my life. Even if I am busy, I always play with them whenever I am free. I love making children laugh. What I love the most when I am with them is, I can be the silliest, but they will not judge but instead, they laugh so hard appreciating my silly conversations with them. And sometimes, talking to them heart to heart is refreshing. You will come to know about their feelings and what things they have come to learn. Nowadays, kids are engrossed with gadgets and honestly speaking, they learn a lot from watching videos online however, teaching them socially is a great way to practice a child’s social interaction and talking.
