Hundreds of Cyclists From Various Provinces Join Together in Cycling in Bireuen.
Hundreds of participants from various cycling communities in Aceh, Medan, North Sumatra, Central Java, Bandung and others, Sunday, 7/28/2024, joined the Joint Cycling (Gobar) held by the Nalom community, Bireuen.
The activity which took the starting route at the Bukit Cinta tourist attraction, Paya Santewan, Geulanggang Gampong, Kota Juang Bireuen was released by the Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen.
Cyclists from various regencies/cities arrived at the location generally using open-back vehicles carrying bicycles, some reassembled their bicycles at the location.
In addition to participants from outside Bireuen, various cycling communities in Bireuen also took part including the Geulanggang Baro Cycling Club.
Participants took coupons from the committee and followed the committee's directions. The route is generally uphill starting from Buket Cinta, Blang Reuling to Gomban Hill, Kota Juang Bireuen with a distance of 22 kilometers and returning to the Paya Santewan tourist attraction.
The chairman of the committee, Yuswardi or better known as Apayuh, said that the Gobar activity was a series of activities for the 2nd anniversary of the Nalom community and welcoming the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
The total number of participants reached more than 350 people from all over Aceh including from West Java. The committee provided prizes ranging from electric motorbikes, bicycles and other prizes with a total prize of IDR 160 million. In addition to the Gobar together, the committee also provided assistance to 15 orphans.
The Acting Regent of Bireuen also hopes that the Keuchik of Geulanggang Gampong will make good use of tourist attractions and events such as Gobar can be held at that location.
This very strategic location is very beneficial for the community and the name of Bireuen is increasingly well-known.
