Bireuen Forkopimda Holds Pilgrimage Ceremony for Heroes' Graves on the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Acting Regent together with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Bireuen Regency, held a National Pilgrimage Ceremony at the Bireuen Heroes' Grave. This activity was held to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), Friday (08/16/2024).

This National Pilgrimage Ceremony is one of a series of important activities in commemorating Independence Day. The ceremony was led directly by Dandim 0111/Bireuen Lieutenant Colonel Inf Ade Munandar, S.I.Pem as the Inspector of the ceremony.

The ceremony began with respect for the spirits of the heroes, continued with the laying of wreaths at the Heroes' Grave Monument, and ended with the scattering of flowers on the heroes' graves.

This activity aims to commemorate the services of the heroes who have fought for the independence and sovereignty of the nation.

Dandim 0111/Bireuen Lieutenant Colonel Ade Munandar, S.I.Pem said that the activity is an agenda that is carried out routinely every year. The pilgrimage is carried out to commemorate the services of the fallen heroes.

"As the successors and heirs of this independence, we must be grateful and continue the struggle of the heroes for this country, as well as to foster the value of heroism as social capital, to then be implemented and utilized in overcoming various problems.

So that the spirit of heroism such as loving the homeland and being willing to sacrifice can be embedded in each individual," said Dandim.

Bireuen Police Chief AKBP Jatmiko, S.H., M.H., said that this pilgrimage is a form of respect for the fallen heroes.

"We must always appreciate and remember the services of the heroes who have fought for Indonesia's independence. Through this activity, we can remember their struggle and continue their fighting spirit in everyday life," he said.

"The momentum of the Independence Day commemoration should be a reminder for all of us, especially the younger generation, of the importance of maintaining the unity of the nation.

We must continue to preserve the values of the heroes' struggle, as a basis for facing challenges in the future. Their fighting spirit is an inspiration for us to work harder for the progress and welfare of society," concluded AKBP Jatmiko.
