Acting Regent Aulia Sofyan Releases Hundreds of Cyclists to Join Gobar Nalom Series 2.0.

More than 300 participants or cyclists from Aceh, North Sumatra and also from Java participated in the Gobar Nalom Series 2.0 activity which was opened by Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, PhD along with related officials, Sunday (28/7/2024) again at Taman Bukit Cinta Santewan Indah, Gampong Geulanggang Gampong, Kota Juang District.

Information obtained from the activity was attended by participants from regencies/cities in Aceh and outside Aceh Province, in order to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia which was supported by the Regency Government (Pemkab) and Nalom Squad MTB.

The chairman of the committee, Yuswardi, who is familiarly called Apayuh at the location, said that the Gobar event was a series of activities for the Nalom community's anniversary series 2 and in order to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024.

More than 300 participants from all over Aceh, including from West Java, will go through the Bukit Cinta Paya Santewan Tourism Park route through several villages to the Cot Gomban field with a route length of 22 km and finish back at Paya Santewan.

A number of prizes have been provided by the committee, namely electric motorbikes, bicycles and other consolation prizes with a total prize of IDR 160 million. "We from the committee also helped 15 orphans," explained Apayuh.

Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, PhD in his direction welcomed the cyclists and we ask the committee to really be able to maintain this activity so that nothing we don't want happens, he asked while conveying three important things.

First, we as regional heads really appreciate this activity. Second, for the participants, please maintain the security and order conditions so that you as cyclists today can reach the finish line.

Third, we hope that the Keuchik (Village Head) who has become the host here, so that events like this can still be held in this very strategic location so that the name of Bireuen becomes fragrant, hopes Acting Regent Aulia Sofyan.

Meanwhile, the Head of Goweser Aceh Sumut, Muzakir Walad hopes that this cycling activity needs to continue to be encouraged and more sports events, especially cycling, can be held regularly, so that the community can avoid negative behavior such as drugs and others.

"Bireuen continues to improve every year and provides tracks such as Cot Teulaga Maneh and many other tracks in Bireuen, and the Bireuen track is not only at the local level, if it can be improved properly, Bireuen has a national track, maybe international level can be implemented in Bireuen," he said optimistically.

For that, of course, there must be seriousness from the government and related parties to facilitate the activities of the communities in Bireuen Regency, so that they can be more active in preparing everything related to their love of bicycles, said Muzakir Walad.
