Acting Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, attended a coordination meeting for acceptance of registration of candidate pairs (Paslon) for Regent and Deputy Regent of Bireuen for the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

The activity was held by the Bireuen Independent Election Commission (KIP) and attended by elements of Forkopimda, Panwaslu and Panwaslih, and political party administrators. It took place on Thursday (22/8/2024) afternoon, at the KIP Office Hall in Gampong Paya Lipah, Peusangan District.

The Head of KIP Bireuen, Saiful Hadi, starting with the Head of the Technical Implementation Division, Safrizal, when opening the activity, expressed his gratitude to the Acting Regent, who, in the midst of his busy schedule, was able to attend this coordination meeting.

"Today we are holding a coordination meeting to accept the nomination of the candidate pair for Regent and Deputy Regent of Bireuen because in the near future on August 27-29, 2024, we will enter the nomination stage," he said.

Before entering that stage, we conducted socialization regarding the requirements, both for candidates and candidate pairs. So that at the time of registration the data must be complete. So we held a coordination meeting attended by the Acting Regent and elements of the Forkopimda," he explained.

The Acting Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin in his direction, among other things, said that he had just returned from Jakarta also related to the Pilkada and signed the integrity fact of Pilkada assistance, namely the Regional Grant Agreement Memorandum (NPHD), the essence of which is that the Bireuen Regency Government has completed the remaining funding to be realized later.

It was also explained that the existence of the Acting Regent of Bireuen, one of the main tasks is to make the general election (Pemilu) a success and has been implemented, currently facing the simultaneous Pilkada. The point is that the stages are getting closer, who will definitely advance as the Regent and Deputy Regent Candidate Pairs later, we can only find out when registering on August 27-29, 2024.

"My hope for political parties and candidate pairs, please follow the existing rules, and follow the schedule that has been set and do not miss the deadline, this is a national agenda," he said.

The KIP is also expected to be able to arrange time for candidate pairs in an orderly manner and not come to register at the same time, so that prevent unwanted things from happening because every candidate must have their supporters.

Acting Regent said, surely everyone understands that this election is a people's party to choose whoever the leader candidate is elected. Avoid unwanted incidents because there are different supports.

"I hope that the Bireuen Pilkada can run safely and smoothly and there is no turmoil and that the Pilkada can be carried out safely and peacefully, the goal is to produce or elect a regional leader," he said.

Acting Regent Jamaluddin added that the Bireuen Regency Government and Forkopimda are also doing their best to make the Pilkada a success according to schedule.
God willing, a quality leader will be elected, the Bireuen Regency Government is ready to continue to fully support it until the inauguration process, he explained.
