TOWN STAR

Block chain gaming is a new and exciting platform where there are many upcoming gaming developers attempting to create gaming on blockchain. The other day I stumbled upon a game being developed on the Gala blockchain that is called Town Star. Now the reason this one is different is because it is being developed by people that also developed Farmville and Words with friends . Farmville was one of the more successful games on Facebook and whilst it still is far from mainstream gaming, it is a step in the right direction.

Town star is still in alpha version and in three days the beta version of the game will launch.
You can still sign up for free to play Town Star And if you are among the first thousand people to sign up you will receive a beta key. This key can be used to build a bot farmer. You will also need to purchase some loot boxes if you want to get those valuable items needed to build your bot farmer.
The bot farmer is used to mine BoxCoin which can be sold for crypto.

When you first login, you are greeted with a world map. You are then able to select a spot to start your city. Each city is one square which is divided up into a lot of little squares, where you can place buildings, create roads, ponds and fields.
You start out with a farm house , two wheat farms, silo, store house, fuel storage and a trade depot. You also start with 25k cash to start your town with.Beware though workers expect to be paid and this will be needed to help pay them so don’t go blowing it all or your workers will refuse to work once they realise they are not being payed.

At the moment there is a reset every 5 days so if you make a mistake you only have to wait a few day’s before starting again.
I start by building a wood shed , woodcutter and a windmill. You need wood and wheat to make flour which can be sold for $44k which can get you off to a good start.
You need to keep an eye on your wood shed though as it will fill up and you will be paying your lumberjack to stand around doing nothing.
You can make 6k per load of wood, when you sell it at the trade depot. You do use up fuel when selling products at the trade depot, so you may want to work your way toward fuel production eventually to make sure you can continue to sell products.

This is a great little farm/city builder in which you will need to learn to balance your costs and expenditure. It’s well worth checking out and I can’t wait to see what changes they will bring out in the Beta version.
