Qurator's Tasty Tuesday #110 - Melt in the Mouth Lamb Oven Bake
An oven bake is many a cook's best friend! Which chef does not appreciate a dish that can be put together in no time, popped into the oven for a couple of hours, no fear of burning or scalding while you get on with other stuff...like steeming for example...?
Melt in the Mouth Lamb Oven Bake with a rich onion gravy and meat that almost falls off the bone; tender and absolutely delicious is a favourite stand-by!
Sounds too good to be true, but this really is comfort food at its best; served with creamy mashed Potatoes and a mix of Peas, Baby Carrots & Corn it was the perfect cold winter's night dinner!
Even though we are in the midst of a really hot and humid summer here in the Southern hemisphere, meals like this is a cook's best friend, as there's no standing over steaming hot pots! Once in the oven, you can simply walk away and forget about it till just before dinner time.
A selection of veggies and baby potatoes sprinkled with olive oil and fresh herbs roasted during the last 40 minutes is another favourite accompaniment to this dish, but today's choice was mash & steamed veggies.
WHAT DO WE NEED?
- 750 gram - 1 kg Lamb Shoulder Chops - cut quite thickly

Simple and delicious way of preparing a healthy meal the whole family will enjoy. Thanks for another great recipe.
This is also great with steak, really yummy abd super easy! Thanks for popping in Joan, always lovely seeing you :)
Mmmmmm... that really looks delicious! Is it the same sort of concept as a slow cooked meal? Low heat, long time... pity I can't get decent lamb over here in Netherlands!
Very similar concept but this is a dry heat! What a pity you can't get Lamb over there but this works really well with steak as well
