Rice Flour Porridge With Brown Sugar Sauce for Breakfast Will Make You Happier [Rice-illicious! Tasty Tuesday] ❤
Imagine something soft and sweet melting in your mouth, then the deliciousness makes you feel like you are fully awake from sleep. This breakfast will really awaken yourself and your mood to be ready to start the day.
Rice Flour Porridge With Brown Sugar Sauce is a sweet dish that is usually consumed as breakfast by Indonesian people who are served warm.
If served as a dessert or breaktime dish, Rice Flour Porridge With Brown Sugar Sauce is served in a cold style.
In Indonesia, we call this dish with BUBUR SUMSUM. Bubur means porridge, and the word sumsum is because the color of the porridge is white and has a soft texture similar to bone marrow.
INGREDIENTS FOR PORRIDGE
(for 5-6 servings)
- 300 grams of rice flour
- 1800 ml of coconut milk
- One tablespoon of salt
- Pandan leaves, 2 sheets
INGREDIENTS FOR BROWN SUGAR SAUCE
- 400 grams of brown sugar
- 800 ml of water for brown sugar sauce
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- Pandan Leaves, 2 sheets
NOTE
If you want to make smaller portions, you can divide all of the ingredients in half.
Cooking Instructions for Cooking Porridge
- Step 1
Mix 300 grams of rice flour with 1800 ml of coconut milk and One tablespoon of salt. Then stir well.
- Step 2
After the coconut milk and rice flour are mixed evenly, strain this mixture into a cooking pan. Add pandan leaves, then cook on medium heat while continuing to stir.
- Step 3
Continue to stir until the mixture of coconut milk and flour thickens and large bubbles appear on the surface. The stirring motion is an important step in this recipe to produce a good porridge texture.
- Step 4
Remove the rice flour porridge. Then arrange in a serving bowl.
Cooking Instruction For Brown Sugar Sauce
- Step 1
Chop brown sugar to accelerate the brown sugar dissolves in water.
- Step 2
Cook brown sugar with 800 ml of water, 6 tablespoons of sugar, and pandan leaves.
- Step 3
When it has boiled, remove from heat. Filter the brown sugar sauce.
- The Final Step
Then serve with rice flour porridge.
The combination of savory and soft rice flour porridge, enhanced with sweet brown sugar sauce, makes this dish have a place in our hearts. I am sure about that.
