Throw Back 🤺🤺 From Educational to Entertainment |Battle month|03
Hello Steemians,
As you all Sri Lankan knows, we are spending 3 days lockdown since yesterday. Even this is for 3 days, I am at home since last Monday due to a Covid Contact. So nowhere to go............ 🤮🤮🤮 It's really boring.
Then I pinched into my old photo album and surfed here and there to recall the sweet old cherished. And I picked something to share with you.
It was 2016, the last year of our uni life. We were asked to do an assignment based on a tank.(Wewa). What we supposed to do is find out the details of the wewa such that it's name, capacity, structural arrangement, functional arrangement, no. of beneficiaries, etc.
And that shall not be controlled by Irrigation Department. If it is so, then we had not be worried much because all the data is readily available in internet. But for the sake of professor, he asked not to choose such tanks. So we had to go for Wew Hunting.
Why I did call it as Wew Hunting because we were ordered to select a tank by only one. We all are a 140 batch, so we had to find 140 distinct tanks. It was really admirable at the beginning.
Now we realized that we definitely had to go for HUNTING.
So we started this Educational Investigation from Galle to Hambantota. Since there is no such tanks around Galle, we already planned this to go to Hambantota. There were 6 Archeologists in the vehicle including @yasith and me. We surfed tanks via Google Map and fortunately found a tank near to MATARA.
This was my Wewa and This is my Widane.
Widane is the person who looked after the Wewa.
We had a nice discussion with him and he was so pleasant and helpful. So 1 out of 6 is completed.
Then started again for another milestone while searching in the map. I think the next one is yours bro.
This is @yasith with his Wewa and Widane. So matching couple... 🤤🤤🤤
Now 2 out of 6 was completed and 4 more to go.
Anyway we could make the project completed within one day because 6 out of 6 was completed but we were far away from Galle. It's not the time to turned back so we decided to stay there with our investigation details.
Next day, the mind was not set to go home. What it said that travel around and have a fun. At the time we were at Udawalawa and it was decided to go for a Safari.
And we had a Rila Selfie.
And Returned back to home....
Wait what??😂😂😂
😂 Funny but also great. This Rila selfie deserves to be presented in a photography competition. Looks like you guys have enjoyed a lot. Good old days. The way you have written this article is also cool.

I think that was not Katta Kadhuwa. By the way I can't remember the name exactly.
Rila selfy was taken by it. It grabbed my phone and clicked it and returned it back.
They are more genius than we think.
My dear friend, your article draw my mind back to the time of my Uni life too! One of the most enjoyable days of a guy's life definitely, I suppose. I also have done one of my projects like the way you've said. And the best thing is that, after all, most of the researches ended up with a picnic or a safari with loads of enjoyment and fun! Your article is very simple and nice my dear friend. Well Done Brother!!
