Hello my fellow steemians! You might be wondering what my next post will be. It’s about something really interesting to hear. I think you all have an experience of a road trips. This is our road trip to downsouth and we traveled almost three days in there.
Exploring Weilagam Bay Beach PLUS CODE: 6MQ2XCCP+XX We normally used our private vehicle to travel, but to have a new experience, we decided to use public transport and then rent a scooter.
It was the beginning of a hopeful long weekend and we were at the Colombo fort railway station hoping to catch the morning train to down south; “ Ruhunu Kumari”. The train had come, and we got into it. The train started its journey to down south and passed Panadura, Kalutara South, Ambalangoda, Hikkaduwa, Galle, and Ahangama. As our desired destination was Weligama, we got off the train at the Weligama railway station and walked to find a rent place to rent a scooter for two days.

On the way to find a rent scooter After having our own rented scooter, we rode to Weligama bay beach. As the beach was seemed really calm and not so ferocious, we both walked to the seashore. Beach was soo beautiful and zones of bright and light blue colors could be able to identify clearly.

We spent some time at that coastal and again started to go Midigama as our hotel was there.
When we passed Weligama town we saw lots of fishing boats coming to shore. It was an eye-catching view to soak up. By looking my clicks you all can be witness how wonderful the view was.

fishing boats coming to shore Later on, we were lucky enough to see stilt fishermen fishing at the poles. This fishing method was unique to Sri Lanka and many tourists are attracted to this area to explore this.

Our room As we both are in thirst to travel more we started to explore more beaches in downsouth.
Now I know, you all are eagerly waiting to see our next destinations. HA! HA! HA!

It seems a happy journey to you both to Down South. Many of the travellers try to travel in their private vehicle which causes a big stress while driving. But this is the best way to feel the journey and feel the life better. Since the down south railway is located along the sea line, the travellers' mind keep in cool.

It seems you had a great trip with your hubby, and for me it's a new idea to rent sooty for domestic travelling. I have seen it used by tourists but never thought to try at least once. I would definitely try this when I have a chance to travel with less baggage. You were so lucky to have such a rare click, which fishermen are fishing at the poles.
Could you please tell me the place you are in the photo captured as "On the way to find a rent scooter"? I have seen that background several times but I don't know where it is.
Train and scooter are the perfect means to enjoy down south. Lime an Co also looks like a great place to stay and chill.
