Form Guide

This is the first game of the season to be played at Sydney Thunder's Showground Stadium and the home team return here unbeaten on their travels. Callum Ferguson will be disappointed that his side were denied the chance to go 3 from 3 when the umpires called off their match against the Strikers due to smoke from a nearby bushfire with the Thunder well placed. In general though there seems to be a nice balance to the Thunder squad at present and they are likely to be competitive here again.

The Sixers continue to blow a little hot and cold. Their last outing was reminiscent of a few of their wins last year with the all-rounders being asked to do a large amount of the run-scoring after the top order failed.

Derbies between these 2 don't tend to be high scoring affairs as the last match which finished with the Sixers winning via the Duckworth Lewis method shows. Equally the Showground Stadium has not traditionally provided a very high-scoring pitch so that is something worth factoring into your predictions.
