The Big Bash visits Coff Harbour for the first time in the competition's history. I have to say I had to look at a map just to know where the place was so don't expect much insight into the pitch conditions on this particular blog. For those who are interested it is in the North of NSW closer to Brisbane than it is Sydney.

What we do know is that this fixture sees 2 well oiled T20 units going head to head. You would expect on current form that both sides will make it to the final 4 largely because they have effective bowling attacks that mean opposition batting line-ups never get away from them. The Sixers are particularly adept at taking wickets throughout the 20 overs with 6 of their squad currently striking at better than a wicket a game. With Rashid Khan and Peter Siddle lining up for the Strikers it seems likely that regardless of the conditions this will be a game where easy scoring opportunities are at a premium.
