Top team, Sada Cruzeiro recorded their first win this year in the 2019/2020 brazilian men's volleyball championship after defeating Fiat/Minas. The win elevated them atop the table with nine wins out of 10 encounters and 27 points, while former leaders, EMS Taubate Funvic remains at the second spot with 25 points.
Prior to clash, Sada was viewed as the favourite of both teams given their current form as a team where they had only lost one out of ten games in the championship. The homeside of Sada won convincing by a 3-1 (25-22, 16-25, 25-20, 25-20) over their opponents who also show glimpses of brilliance but couldn't capitalize on it.
