Due to the news about infected persons of the coronavirus which clouded the entire media space in italy, about 9/10 of scheduled matches in the italian women's volleyball championship competition are been Postponed for fear of a possible breakout.

According to the media three people have been confirmed dead as a result of the deadly disease while cases of some other infected people has not been ruled leading the minister of sports in Italy to take such a decision, whose main aim is to reduce public gatherings so as to prevent spread.
