Dragonflies - Libélulas

I live in the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), close to the “Rio de la Plata” river and the delta of the Paraná river. This is a very humid region where you can find a lot of insects that need this humidity to live. In this case I present pictures of several species of dragonflies I took at home. Most of them showed up once I introduced native plants in my garden.
You can see them fly during very humid days while they catch other smaller insects to feed. In one of the pictures you can see one of them on my hand while eating another smaller dragonfly. Amazing nature!
I do not know the scientific names of these species. I just admire them for their colors and wings design.

Vivo en la provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina) muy cerca del Rio de la Plata y del Delta del rio Paraná. Es una zona bastante húmeda, poblada habitualmente por insectos que buscan esa humedad para vivir. En este caso tenemos varias especies de libélulas, muchas de las cuales empezaron a aparecer en mi jardín desde que planté plantas nativas de esta zona.
Aparecen mayormente los días con alta humedad en el ambiente y se las puede ver volando y cazando pequeños insectos. Aquí por ejemplo se me posó una en mi mano mientras estaba comiendo otra libélula más pequeña. Quedé asombrada!
No sé los nombres científicos de estas especies, simplemente las admiro por los colores hermosos y los diferentes diseños que tienen.
