I think there is still a loss. Your vote has worth and you have a finite number of votes. IMHO, it is a loss. If you can only vote so much and the value goes down after voting, that value is a loss. Yes, you don't actually lose anything. Even when you vote for someone else, yous till get curation from that vote. However, that vote is gone and the value is gone. That's theft. Your vote is basically money that your are voluntarily giving. It's a use-it-or-lose-it kind of thing, but it still has value.
