Have you ever come across something on the internet and asked yourself, โWho wrote this, a person, or a robot?โ Anyone can put their name on anything these days, which makes for a fun challenge when arguing the authorship of any piece.
I have compiled a brief compilation of the signs indicating that this content can be AI dictated. Furthermore, I will add one more tip that pertains to the AI-created images!
1. Too Perfect to Be True
Begin by assessing if the manner of writing is graphically appealing and almost perfect to the extent that it appears as though it has never been spoken by anyone.
Strange as it may sound, AI appears to operate on a strict recipe pattern which makes them somewhat consistent but devoid of the humanistic aspect. We, as humans, tend to juggle things, for instance, we may begin with a very informal tone for a blog post and conclude it with heavy technical jargons. AI? No. It is strictly monotone throughout the text. Hence, if a piece of work misses out on that one minute detail in variance of writing style, then apparently that was written by an AI.
2. Notice the Patterns
AI seems to have an affinity for patterns when crafting captivating copy thus there is a need to ensure that your models are appropriately and adequately trained so that they comprehend what your tone of voice and style comprise and produce better drafts for you to amend if you wish to know more about this, drop me a DM.
Below are three instances which are extremely common:
- Using too many emojis on social media posts ๐
- Starting long-form copy with some variation of โIn the era of [subject]โ
- Alliteration to articulate an appealing arrangement of words
These are the best spices in my opinion. Let me know in the comments what you think of the rest of the AI โโcontent.
3. Weird Idioms and Slang
We never realize it, but we all constantly use idioms and slang all the time. But even when trying to learn from language, AI does not get it right too many times.
It could be common usage of phrases, yet one sees it in writing and says, okay this is a bitโฆoffโฆand certainly offbeat. Almost as if, the person uses tourists slang incorrectly. A common place for this in the world of AI is slang- if you find an idiom hanging out in the wrong context, it fits here.
4. The more AI misses is the human experience.
Writing is art, an expression that captures feelings and can be intertwinined with personal experience. And this is why some of our opinions and emotions make sense in a way of how we narrate our stories.
But AI doesnโt have life experience and thus struggles here. It provides you the what but forgets the how, the part where someone makes stories. The part where one finds a connection with the tale. Or even the lack of those touch points, say the additions of the touch points are dull and mainstream. I have experienced this time and time again. For this particular reason, one must always keep in mind that you cannot view AI as a simple solution, always expect to modify and change your copy to achieve accuracy.
5. Keeping Things Low Risk
Going back to the point of debates, AI so far remains neutral if not passive. At least for now, we still donโt expect it to engage in robust discussions or generate disruptive content on its own.
On the contrary, human writers, particularly professional ones, take risks and go against the grain and have unique opinions which they can articulate and defend. There is still much left to be said about why AI seems to consist of doers who prefer the diplomatic path. Yes, AI can produce biased words, artificial intelligence only generates what its humanly affects explained to it, these are all topics for a separate discussion.
6. Providing Wrong Data and Illusions
The content that AI creates has the potential of creating false narratives. The tool can โhallucinateโ, this means that the tool can create information that ideally does not exist, to bridge the gap on questionable topics. In this case, it is the sole responsibility of the reviewer to verify the factual correctness of the data, but this is likely to be lost and result in animation of tales that pretty much have no constructive value.
It is therefore necessary to corroborate information as much as possible, especially the most unusual memories. It's always wise to remain skeptical, and verify information with authoritative sources, be it a reputable news outlet or a piece of academic research. In this sense, being informed and being prudent helps us to filter out possible disinformation much effectively. And keep in mind that a certain idea, explanation or theory is not necessarily true, just because it seems highly complicated or advanced.
Bonus: Recognizing AI-Generated Images
I am not much of artist who could effectively speak about the specifics of an image, but I'll give it a shot as best as I can!
However, to write prompts for AI to generate an image can be very complex, even though the end product looks realistic. For example, good photorealistic images even have information on types of lenses for reference!
That is something many people are not aware of. This is exactly why most of the images are shot wrong โ and that is quite a lot! Generally speaking, all AI generated images have a trademarked appearance. The texture is too smooth. Some of them are closer to theory than to practice, and light and shadows are not an exception. Most of them are devoid of movement and emotion life like life. There is always a problem with hands and even other body parts many times get misalignment in correct ratio or position. And, in case if there is any text involved in the image, the chances are high that words that will be in there will not make sense at all!
Remember: the issue isn't with content being generated by AI, but rather with it not being reviewed and enhanced by humans. AI should serve as a tool to produce high-quality content, not be responsible for the entire content creation process.

Simple Trick To check Without any AI and Plagrisum Checker Tool
I would say that an AI can provide better detail than other tools in recognizing AI content.I believe that if you learn to speak AI, then no one can stop you from checking your plagiarism with AI.
I have created a text with the advice of AI that if you send it to AI, it will generate a report for plagiarism and AI detection.
Due to Steemit rules, I can't put that tax in my post. Yes, I will definitely tell you in the comments soon.
I think AI cannot be ignored in the modern era.
What is your opinion?
