Another most dramatic second round of football leagues occurred at the stadium of Santiago de Bernabeu. This saw another supper great performance from Karim Benzema finishing up what the young star Rodrygo started.

In the finals, it is going to be another Spanish team facing another English team. It is going to be a Spanish English afair and will be interesting to watch. Liverpool who peacefully put Villarreal one of the Spanish side to rest on the way to the finals will be facing Real Madrid who has put to rest another English team to rest to come this far.

It was so surprising to see the super marvelous come back from the Real Madrid side just after 73rd minutes when a goal from the City winger Mahrez put them in front. The stadium of Santiago de Bernabeu was into silence and the dream of the premier league leaders was almost coming into completion.

However the come back gaints in the game of football specifically for this season perform their magic once more. After been down from a 4:3 goals in the first league with what Mahrez did made it look impossible for them but Rodrygo come into the picture for two solid goals to cancel out their goals out.

This took the game into a extra time in other to determine who qualifies to the next stage since the aggregate was 5:5. This turned around in the 6 minutes of the extra time when Benzema was brought down in the 18 yard box and was being awarded a penalty.

He was able to quickly convert it into the post with the Man City keeper completely beaten. The performance of the substitute Rodrygo has made hum set the record as he becomes the first player to find the back of the net twice in the 90 minutes of the UCL.

Through out the first half of the game, City had the most glorious chances but we're both put to stop by Courtois with Phil Foden shooting those chances. In the early second half, the home side had the opportunity to open the lead but was missed by vinicius Junior.

Later in the game Manhad full control at a point given them the go ahead and making Meharez getting that opportunity and he made good use of it by by finding the back of the net. Jack Greelish came with another clear chance but was prevented by finding the back of the net by Courtois.

Then came the saviour few minutes after those incidences Rodrygo converting Benzema crossing into the net. Just 91 seconds later the same Rodrygo converted a crossing that was floated inside with his head this time putting them at the same level as Man City. An extra time was given for the game, and it was through that the penalty occurred and was calmly converted into the net.

This game has produce 11 goals across both of the leagues and it is the second highest number of goals a semi-final UCL match has produce. This has brought Real Madrid to their 17th Champions league finals and they are ahead 6 more finals than any other club has appeared in the competition.

It was a spectacular night of soccer having play 70 minutes no goals and producing more the 3 goals in 30 minutes. I will be glad to read your comments on how the game went.

Let's talk sports will want to know....

Who your man of the match was and which goal is the best and probably who the game changer was from your perspective!!!

In the finals, it is going to be another Spanish team facing another English team.

Am pleased it is at leased 2 sides from different leagues, we have been at least saved from the noise of the English teams being the best and all that bla bla bla. hahaha

Mahrez put them in front.

The space City got from the middle to progress with the ball into madrids goal surprised me a lot. It was too easy and I think when Mahrez took his shot Mendy was blocking coutois which kindda made it hard for him to save even though it was near where he was standing

Rodrygo converting Benzema crossing into the net. Just 91 seconds later the same Rodrygo converted a crossing that was floated inside with his head this time putting them at the same level as Man City.

If Rodrygo had started this match he would have had a bad game, he seems to always have a good game when he comes on as a sub.

If i were him I will prefer being a super sub in this super team rather than wanting a place in the starting line up.

For the two side finals it is great.

Some players are good when you start them from the bench, just like Elanga at Man United he is good from the bench as compared to his starts. However everyone wants to get enough playing time hence will not agree to be started from the bench. Now that he is getting the playing time too things are not good.

Some coaches are also afraid to start players who performed in their previous matches from the bench from the bench again. All this are contributing factors.
