England lost the game as soon as Palmer scored. I was absolutely stunned to see the defensive approach by the English players after they equalized. They'd lost mentally even after equalizing.
ps: heard Sarina Weigman is also amongst the candidates to replace Southgate. Is this true?
This was exactly my thought…. I was so mad with them when they went back to defend again after equalizing 1-1 draw.
I was asking myself, why must they score them first before they start playing well?? They are lucky stone performed well in the defense, the goals would have been more than 2….
@the-gorilla, out of curiosity, were is England defender, harry McGuire… I just thought of the many disaster he would have caused if they had carried him along from Manchester United to come play this euro cup..😂😂
I thought that Luke Shaw was excellent at the back too.
That's the frustration with watching England. Southgate kept talking about bravery... it's easy to be brave when you're losing, let's see some bravery when we're drawing or winning.
Maguire got injured towards the end of the season so wasn't deemed fit enough (unlike Luke Shaw who was still injured and taken anyway!) Fortunately, Marc Guehi and Ezri Konsa are both far superior players 🙂
When we equalised, we should have kicked on. But we let them play, as we have done all tournament. So disappointing.
I doubt it. It’s probably the more liberal media being overly keen with their political correctness.
