3Speak excited about Steem Tron collaboration #heyTron
Justin Sun, founder of TRON and CEO of Bittorrent has recently taken over Steemit Inc. and this news is definitely one of the biggest turning points in the history of the Steem Blockchain. The potential spin offs and opportunities for both Tron and Steem (as well as the dapps and communities running on these two chains) cannot be overstated.

We think this event can help both STEEM & TRON grow together at a faster pace than their counterpart blockchain networks can do individulally. In the upcoming months, we will get more clarity about how this partnership will affect both of the communities and to what extent, but we are sure that it is a doorway to innumerable opportunities. We believe that this mutually beneficial partnership between TRON & Steemit Inc. will prove to be fruitful going forwards for the Steem blockchain. We would like to reassure the STEEM community that this change, although difficult to understand at the present time is going to be a win-win for all of us. STEEM brings its tech & highly active communities while TRON has the tech, network and resources which can help both of us co-exist in a bigger, connected CRYPTO world. Just imagine the possibilities! Together we can solve the problems which seem unsolvable in today's world.
Our no. one priority is to make a commitment to the Steem blockchain & the communities we all have built so far. That's precious! We trust the Steemit Inc. Team, the Top 20 Witnesses and all the Stakeholders to navigate us through this time of uncertainty in the best way possible. The Steem blockchain is at 3Speak's core technologically, and it is also in our hearts.
At this point in time we think that the potential positives far outweigh the negatives. Based on the AMA, with Justin and Ned recently, we can see a fruitful and positive future for both chains from what was said.

Interesting view on the situation. I think it is fair to say @justinsunsteemit is a well-respected entrepreneur and a huge name in the crypto space.
Why on earth would he spend millions of dollars on acquiring STEEM(tokens) and Steemit.inc if his intention is to burn the place down? Do you really think he doesn't understand the power of a community? The Steem community?
I think he understands it quite well and just for that reason he bought it. Not to kill it, but to benefit from it.
I can't think of 1 reason why he would put his name, fame, and money at risk. He is a businessman and wants a return on investment.
Acquiring something that is more powerful than what you already have is a brilliant move. He lacks users and communities at #TRON, well we have that. And now he has too.
Any millionaire/billionaire can buy STEEM and power it up to fuck with the Steem community (haejin/rancho/...), but honestly, we all know where that ends right?

Hi there, i never said that he wants to "kill" or "burn down" Steemit or it's community.
I said "upside down" more in the sense of what kind of reactions his action caused in Steemit.
And this is centralized action from one source, and this is control, and this is my point ;)

I can think of reasons:
If he tries anything than we make a fork, so it’s like a social contract. It becomes a loss for both the community and for Justin.
Not we. The witnesses can make a fork. But there are not that many of those.
Anyone can fork a coin. The witnesses can agree to fork without splitting the chain, to keep only one coin Steem.
Not on steem. AFAIK you need 20 witnesses to run a steem block chain. So we would need to become witnesses first before we can fork the chain.
Of course you could set up 20 sock puppet witnesses but who would want to use that chain? And it's still be witnesses.
Same for any other blockchain. You always need a sizeable group to add validity to your fork.
So not anyone can fork a coin. It takes a sizeable group to fork a coin.
At least 20 in the case of steem.
How is it different from when Ned had the power though? Isn't it just one dictator handing power to another? At least this one isn't fast asleep at the wheel.
I'm not saying I trust Justin, I don't know the guy, but Ned was clearly no good.

I completely disagree. This is another fantastic development in the world of crypto and one of massive importance considering both firms track record paving the way in the world of crypto. This means it is yet another huge step forward in the way that the crypto world can become more innovative and productive towards legitimising the industry. It is hard to think of a better time, bar late-2017, to be part of the community. Is your comment to say that by coming closer together, those involved in the cryptocurrency industry are moving further away from the goals it was created to achieve? I for one will be getting closer involved in the projects that have now partnered up due to this news with the help of platforms like the ones that can be found at https://www.cryptimi.com/exchanges/best-bitcoin-exchanges where I can invest in these organisation's tokens with ease and this is what I would recommend for anyone else reading this news as opposed to feeling negative about the partnership.

I downvoted due the misleading title! The collaboration is between Steemit Inc and TRON... NOT STEEM... How hard is it to figure it out?
I would respectfully disagree there. It is correct to say that the Steem block chain has not been purchased by tron and therefore they do not own Steem, they own Steemit inc. but as far as collaboration goes, the two block chains are now learning about each other and dapps are staring to integrate beneficial features of each block chain, in the same way that steem dapps will integrate features from many other different block chains in future. I would say it is safe to call this a collaboration between the two chains, at least for now, until the dust fully settles. It’s better to give tron the benefit of the doubt. Even though Tron is clearly giving Steemit inc autonomy to act and build out its current scope, I would however, not necessarily call the work between tron and steemit inc a collaboration, since tron owns steemit inc. it is more of a business partnership.
