Priest Apologizes for Calling Islam 'Greatest Threat' to America 😮
A Roman Catholic priest in Minnesota has apologized for calling Islam the “greatest threat in the world” to the United States and Christianity. The Rev. Nick VanDenBroeke apologized in a statement posted on the website of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minnesota for the Jan. 5 comments during a 15-minute homily as pastor of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Lonsdale. “My homily on immigration contained words that were hurtful to Muslims,” the statement read. “I’m sorry for this. I realize now that my comments were not fully reflective of the Catholic Church’s teaching on Islam.”

That would be a commendable thing if there were some reciprocity. I wonder how many islamic leaders avoid making drastic statements about infidels, especially catholics and the threat they represent for the muslim world.
It would be so easy if all religions agreed to preach the goodies of their god without having to see the others' gods as a threat.
Pre-christians, and even early christians were very good at coexisting with one another and even having their pantheons mingle.
The existence of God is important to all believers. No matter what they call him, he is one for everyone. Will they call him Allah, Christ, Buddha, etc. He helps them in the same way. Confrontation the religions is a major tool for achieving geo-political goals.
what i find irritating is that some of these religious folks do not want you to criticise their religion but they still go ahead to criticize other people,is that not hypocrisy??
the pastor may have been getting some death threats which now forced him to apologize before it is too late..lol
i believe that every religious leaders should learn to understand that everyone have his or her rights to choose whatever religion they want or whatever opinion they have about life and they should learn to judge less...
i totall agree with you..
religious leaders should learn to watch their utterances...
i guess he did that to avoid a huge religious war in america...
very matured of him,or could it be he is scared??
religion itself is causing great threat to the society due to the way some religious now act and behave in the society...
