The desert, which occupies 70% of the country or 350,000 km², is very rich in oil and natural gas.

This crater of 69 meters in diameter, 30 meters deep and a temperature inside 400 ° C was created after an accident in 1971 during gas exploration works of Soviet geologists, who saw their equipment and their stores were swallowed for land. In fact, they had discovered an underground cave full of natural gas. Fearing that the crater would cause the escape of several dangerous natural gases, the team decided to set it on fire. They estimated that it would be extinguished in a few days, however, it has been burning for almost half a century. Since then it burns without stopping and offers an impressive spectacle. There have been failed attempts to put out the fire.

Very beautiful to admire, sure that your Piromano desires will flourish.
