Today in history: Happy Birthday Elvis Presley!

Welcome to today's episode of the "Today in History" serial, where I bring you daily historical facts and events of the current date.
Today I couldn't help but write a post about the King!
Born Elvis Aaron Presley on January 8, 1935, Elvis was a cultural icon of the 20th century and is often referred to as the King of Rock and Roll.
His first single, Heartbreak Hotel, became the top hit the U.S., It was released in January 1956. by RCA records.
Apart from singing, Elvis also had a career as an actor, he was acting in some television shows and in 33 movies, Clambake and Jailhouse Rock which was added top the National Film Registry in 2004.
He was the most important person in the rockabilly history, one of the earliest styles of rock n roll, and throughout regarded as one of the most famous and important figures in the history of music.
He was adored by woman and often complimented on his looks from both sides he became a sex symbol of his time.
Elvis won countless musical awards and has his own start on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
As everyone Elvis also had a "dark side", he was using and couple of times overdosed on prescription drugs.
As he was doing tours and using more and more drugs, his health was declining, and he die on August 16, 1977, with the cause of death a long time believed to be overdose, but a autopsy done by Dr. Joseph Davis in 1994, indicates that it was most likely a sudden Hearth attack.
He remained a great influence to people around the world, and his movies and music will be remembered throughout history.
From many respected as the best voice ever, Elvis was one of the most important figures of the modern music.
As some say, "The King will never die!"
