Entrance to an ancient temple in forests, Sagara(Karnataka)
Sanctuaries entrance is recessed pointed arch(lotus curve) confined inside a square shape. Pointed curve is only one among various shapes which can be utilized for Makara curve. It included foliated curve, horseshoe, crescent, semi-octagonal,, hexagonal and so forth. Two parrots confronting each different enhances the spandrel of angled opening.
Top of building is fixed with escarpments. Exterior is intriguing a result of its likeness to Javanese Candi ,in treatment of external dividers. Focal opening is flanked by smaller than usual holy places for gods. These places of worship are reproduction of unique sanctuary itself. Same example is additionally found in Javanese sanctuaries where focal opening is flanked by maybe a couple little hallowed place which imitation of unique sanctuary itself.
