The chronology of events even to the video of unarmed civilian gunshot shootings is well documented. It is even evident that the shooting of Acehnese civilians was not by rubber bullets but with bullets of combat weapons.

Although the perpetrators and commanders of the troops at the time of the incident are known, until now there has been no perpetrators who were arrested and tried for the incident. The Aceh Human Rights NGO Coalition noted at least 46 civilians were killed, 156 suffered gunshot wounds, and 10 were missing in the incident. Seven of the dead are children.
