Mactan shrine is the famous place in the philippines,mactan shrine also is known as a tourist spot ,because many filipino and foreign people visited in mactan shrine just to see the beautiful statue of lapu-lapu . mactan shrine also is a great place for all the tourist because they learned about the history of lapu-lapu and magellan and when the battle begins .
Lapu-lapu was known as the first filipino hero,because he is the first filipino who can resist to the spanish.and he is best known for the battle of mactan that happened at the dawn on april 27,1521.
In the battle of mactan we can see how lapu-lapu can fight against to magellan .and how can lapu-lapu depends as to the spaniards. and because of the defeat of the spaniards against lapu-lapu ,the filipino celebrate because spaniards did not win the battle .and people of mactan decided to make a statue of lapu-lapu to remember that lapu-lapu is a hero .
Thats why mactan shrine is the best place for the tourist because of the great highlights for the history of lapu-lapu and its picture .
